  1. Both teams playing well.  Arkansas has scored a bunch of points and we know they ran all over Tech.  Last year, this game was 45-33, and I would expect another shootout this year.
  2. Some people have Kansas as the 10th best team in the conference, but I'll stick with 12th.  Kansas is terrible.  Even so, I wouldn't be surprised if they covered that spread.
  3. Texas A&M may be without Speedy Noil for the foreseeable future. The WR sustained an injury to his MCL and could miss 3-5 weeks according to reports.  Good thing the Ags are deep at WR, but hopefully he will be back before the Bama, Auburn, and LSU games.
  4. K-State changed up their offensive signals at half-time because Bill Snyder said that Auburn was stealing signs.  We didn't know that K-State had a special sign for "miss the FG", and "INT off of offensive player end zone tip drill", but I guess they did.  Unfair advantage for Auburn.
  5. SMU will be turning to redshirt-freshman QB Kolney Cassel (from Yakima, Wa.) against Texas A&M. Texas A&M has won five straight versus SMU with the average victory margin over the past three seasons is 35.3 points. Current spread is around 34. Looks like an A&M blowout.
  6. K-State should be leading at the half. But, I think Auburn gets it going in the 2nd half for the W.
  7. Florida- Alabama is #1? Yawn.
  8. So much for stability.  5 DC's in 5 years.   He reportedly showed up to work under the influence of an unknown substance.   Apparently, he may have caught some disease from a wild hog last Saturday that was uprooting Jones Stadium.  He kept mumbling something about 7 rushing TD's.
  9. Miami usually gets blasted when they play on the big stage.  For example, Florida St 41-14, Notre Dame 41-3, K-State 52-13, etc.  This year, Freshman QB up against the Nebraska defense, plus the explosive Nebraska offense adds up to big win for the Huskers.
  10. K-State has the best chance at the upset on a home Thursday night game. LSU and Oklahoma should win if they show up. Bama and Florida State won't lose.
  11. I knew Tech shouldn't have been favored. Should have bet the farm.
  12. This week's games are worse than last week's games.  At least we can watch the Texas beatdown so it's not all bad.   Next week looks weak too, but we do get some SEC conference games starting up.
  13. Good idea.  Go ahead and book me for whoever plays Texas each week.  Standing order.
  14. This has blowout written all over it unless UCLA just doesn't show up.  The line at 7.5 is too low.   Maybe the oddsmakers are giving home field too much credit.  Especially since Texas has lost 12 times at home in the last 4 years.  No home field advantage there.  Heck, even Iowa St has gone to Austin and won.
  15. Big Game Bob is 1-5 ATS in his last 6 SEC games.  Now can he cover a 3 TD spread against the Vols?
  16. I'm confused as well as to how TT can be favored.  I'd take Arkansas all day, but somebody must know something we don't.  Maybe it's the throwback uniforms TT will be wearing.
  17. UCLA has certainly played below the insane preseason expectations of them.  They have squeaked by a couple of teams that they should have beaten by 30.  Those close games are probably good for them down the road.   UCLA should put up some points and I don't see anyway Texas can match them.  Hard to pick a score, but UCLA should win by at least 10.
  18. This is awesome. So much for that revenge.
  19. SMU Sucks.  They score on the last play to avoid a 43-0 pasting by North Texas.
  20. Unbelievable TD by Nebraska with 20 seconds left. They avoid the upset
  21. Deoundrei Davis was a four-star member of the Texas Longhorns' 2013 recruiting class and rated as the No. 4 outside linebacker in the country.  Reports out of Austin, Texas, on Friday said coach Charlie Strong had kicked Davis off the team. Since taking over for Mack Brown about eight months ago, Strong has dismissed eight players.
  22. I like Mich St +12 and USC.  Stanford is at home, which is the only reason they are favored.
  23. It will take a couple of years for Strong to change the culture and get the talent back to compete against the best teams.  At this point, people will get excited just to defeat an unranked team at home.
  24. Pretty boring week if you ask me.  I think BYU/Texas will be the most interesting.
  25. The Texas defense will not want a repeat of last year, so I expect their best effort here.  With Ash out, the Texas defense may have to win the game.  With the majority of the BYU offense back from last year, BYU is probably the better team right now.  The coaches may be different, but the players remain the same.  Certainly, Texas can win but my money is on BYU.
