  1. The speed and the athletes FBM has is definitely scary. How do you slow them down? Huntsville had a good warmup game with a similarly talented Marshall Mavs team. That game should help the Hornets prepare for this one. FBM probably has not seen a defense this good. Not sure how good the FBM O-Line is, but they better eat their Wheaties before this one. Huntsville can win if they can control this game and not allow the big momentum type plays from this talented offense. 2 weeks ago, Manvel was completely shut down and gave up before the 4th Qtr. However, the Marshall Mavs were able to make several big plays, like an 80 yard screen pass and both a long punt and kickoff return. Their big play capability is why they scored 34 despite being mostly held in check. With the athletes they had, the big plays were just a matter of time. Don’t look for FBM to even get an opportunity to run back a kick. They will have to earn their points. The Hornets offense doesn’t have to score 50, but they need to continue to be productive and move the chains. The Hornets have won the last two games scoring 34 and 35 points. The Hornets also must continue to win the turnover battle which they have successfully done during these playoffs. If they do these things, this team could wind up in Arlington. FBM will likely be favored. Huntsville will need to being their A game to slow down FBM. I fully expect it. I can see another 35-34 type of game the Hornets just played. So, if you are looking for a good football game other than WOS-Silsbee on Friday night, Cy Fair is the place to be.
  2. Lorena put up 36 and 35 points in 2 games against Madisonville. I expect WOS will do the same. Madisonville won't be able to match points. WOS by 2-3 TD's as the cakewalk to the State Final continues.
  3. Wow. So even Rice cares about football now.
  4. Saw Georgetown last week. They can play. Wouldn't surprise me at all if they knock out CS.
  5. I guess you can officially add Sumlin to the list.
  6. TT is struggling, but Texas usually handles them anyway. Can't see them losing this one.
  7. Yea. That sealed Sumlins fate for sure. I predict he is gone after the LSU game.
  8. I'll lean with EC. Should be a good one
  9. Picked to be the biggest blowout in Texas this weekend. Let the 2nd string play.
  10. Texas is not favored this week and the following week against Tech, we could see two 5-6 teams competing for a bowl invite. Tech won last time in Austin. Will be interesting.
  11. Crosby gave up more points than anyone else in the District, including Caney Creek. Take PNG.
  12. Kansas is awful. They are just 5-71 in conference games over the last 9 years. They haven't won a conference game since, well I guess it was last year against Texas. Whoop!
  13. I'll take Woodville 35-21.
  14. Probably a slightly different result from the 2010 game.
  15. I think it's a good spot here for Texas. The bubble burst on TCU last week and Kenny Hill looked like his Oct 2014 version for A&M. TCU defense is excellent, but Texas could hassle Hill enough to pull out a W.
  16. Texas won the last 2 years and that was when Baylor was good. 1st time in 5 years that Texas is favored and I can't see the Horns dropping this one.

    Week 9

NC State actually has a run defense, unlike USC. They will hang with Notre Dame. I think Penn St. beats Ohio St.
  18. No SEC West game is ever easy, but Home team wins
  19. Syracuse should have a letdown, but still, I can't pick Miami by 14.5 against anybody.
  20. Horns usually win after the OU game, but this is a tough assignment. OK State will want to win big here and they have the offense to do so. Home field means nothing as OSU has won 4 straight in Austin and they get the double digit point victory.
  21. A&m is better. Florida has too many problems. Ags should win.
  22. 1. Silsbee. 2. Navasota. 3. BC. 4. Huffman. 5. LCM. 6. Cleveland
  23. I could give 4 different guesses in this one. Texas has won 2 of the last 3 years, despite being double digit underdogs. Could easily happen again, but I'll take OU since they have the experienced QB, and since they won't want to lose 2 straight.
  24. Kountze gave up 47 to Corrigan. I think this game is pretty even. I'll take Trinity. They have to get a win eventually.
