1. Time will tell with Magnolia.  Looks like they had some success running the ball against 5A Bryan, but they did give up 300 yards passing.  I think they are better than initially expected, but I would also rank them middle of the District right now until they can prove they are a playoff team.
2. Huntsville had trouble stopping the option attack from College Park and lost by 23.  I see a similar result here.  I think Montgomery wins this by 21.  At least this time, it won't end the season for Huntsville as the last two matchups have.
3. Once again, great analysis and no argument from me.  I will look forward to your weekly updates.  Your top 4 will all be playing each other this weekend, and I expect that 1 & 2 will prevail over 3 & 4.
4. Trinity defeated 1A Grapeland, but their bigger win was against Groveton in their first game.  I have to give the nod to Trinity over Kountze in this one.  I'll say 28-17.
5. College Park 28-12 over Huntsville late 3rd
6. College Park 14-6 over Huntsville at The half
7. Huntsville 6-0 over College Park on 96 yd Int.
8. I don't know, but I'd get there early.  Won't be an empty seat.
9. How did that matchup make ESPNU?
10. Navasota hasn't given up a score yet, including the scrimmage against Montgomery.  Coldspring is going to have to keep this a low scoring game to win.
11. Unlikely in the playoffs because Navasota will likely be D1 and Coldspring will definitely be D2
12. Both of these teams might be playing for a State championship this season.  I'll lean with Navasota in this one based upon last weeks results.  Hopefully Coldspring will come in with something to prove.
13. Top ranked teams in 3A, 4A, and 5A all lost last weekend. Don't see that often.
14. Gotcha.  I see the Huntsville at Mag West game deciding 3rd place.  Of course, there could be some surprises along the way in this district.
15. Good job there Texasaggie, but don't seem so surprised that Huntsville actually won.  Your Power rankings are very good.  While Navasota is definitely loaded, I have seen nothing from Willis to see them making the playoffs this year.  I think Mag West and Huntsville take 3rd and 4th.
16. At least Montgomery has a game under their belt.  I believe this is Dawson's opener.  Dawson should have a great offense this year and they will most likely be too much for Montgomery to handle.  I'll take Dawson 44-27.
17. 18-4A looked pretty weak with the top two teams losing and Willis getting blown out.
18.

The last thing I saw was scoreless in the 1st.
Thks for the update.
LOL
19.
I'm going to be at the game next week at Navasota rooting for you guys. Someone needs to tell the D to be prepared for throws, that Navasota QB averages 300 plus yards 3 plus TD's throwing. Prepared to see you guys put a stop to that high powered offense. Good Luck. Navasota going to be a tuff game.... Go Trojans.
Navasota has a high powered offense AND defense.  Navasota QB Kadarius Baker was 22-28 for 306 yards against Willis.  He is very elusive and doesn't seem to get rattled at all.  Navasota can run the ball too pretty efficiently.  The defense gives up Nothing.  Willis only had about 125 yards, and 49 of that came on one pass play.    Based upon the week 1 results, it would appear that Navasota will be the favorite in this one.  Coldspring will need to figure out how to get that Navasota offense out of rhythm and also how to move the ball against that tough D.  I'm rooting for Coldspring, but they have to bring the A+ game.
20. What was the final score?  33-21 the last I heard.
