1. Well, Huntsville doesn't have to wait until the playoffs anymore to get drilled by Montgomery.  They can get that over in the regular season.
2.
Tomball gets put into the Ft Bend ISD district?????????????Ouch there will be kids getting home late esp.on weekday sch.events like thurs night w/shared stadium. :o :o
Be glad you are not Texarkana where there is no district school within 60 miles.  Last year, Dennison was in their District, which was over 150 miles away.  Doesn't that sound like a fun weeknight event.
3. Mason and whom else?  Is there another Final?
4. Don't sleep on Southlake.
5. I'm talking about this year - Rounds 3 & 4.
6. I agree.  It's not going to happen.  Any team that can defeat Carthage and Gilmer back to back has my vote.
7. This one is going to be a shoot-out.  Aledo averages 56 points/game and Manvel isn't too far behind.  I'm leaning towards Aledo.  Manvel needs to jump on them early and make them play catchup.
8. Nursing a one-point lead in the fourth quarter, Chapel Hill forced Alvarado into three turnovers on the Indians' final three drives as the Bulldogs claimed the Class 3A Division I state championship with a 20-19 victory on Friday at Cowboys Stadium. This playoff run was pretty amazing for Chapel Hill.  LaVega, Navasota, West Columbia, and now Alvarado all took their shots but came up short.  Obviously, it was meant to be for Tyler Chapel Hill as they pulled out at least 3 of these games when it looked like they would certainly lose.
9. Aledo up 40-21
10. Jeepers.  I hope he can stay focused after a day like that.
11. What time does this beatdown start?
12. Yes, there is a me in team, just scrambled.  There is also an I in win
13. Lake Travis is 73-3 over the last 5 seasons.  Reminds me of Southlake Carroll's 5 year run of 79-1 from 2002-2006.  So, the smart money is still on Lake Travis.
14. I think Argyle wins State over Coldspring.
15. Wow.  I didn't realize that.  If it wasn't for J. Gilbert, they would be zero wins for 20 years.  I still remember when they were USA Today #1 in the nation around 1991.  Coach Joe Clements retired about 20 years ago after his youngest son finished, and the program tanked right after that.
16. Regarding Justin Gilbert at Huntsville High, he was the starting QB in 2008 and 2009 when Huntsville played in Brenham's district.  Huntsville went undefeated in district in 2008, but then somehow managed to lose to Lockhart in the 1st round.  In 2009, they lost just one district game (to Brenham).  Defeated Hays Consol in the 1st round before losing to Beaumont Central in the 2nd round 28-24.  They should have beaten Central.  Gilbert also ran kicks back, and when he hit the open field, he was long gone.  Speed was ridiculous.  Tune in tonight and watch him run kicks back for OK State.
17. The winner gets Lake Travis.  Doesn't that sound like fun?
18. Monahans 27 Shallowater 20.  They get Argyle/Gilmer winner in the other 3A SEMI-Final
19. Aryle 41 Gilmer 35 - 4th 7:03.    I have Gilmer over Coldspring in the State Final on my brackett.  We'll see if Gilmer can pull this one off.
20. Hempstead 35 Blanco 12 – Final Mart 35 Muenster 29 – FINAL Corsicana 42 Kilgore 21. FINAL Corsicana Mildred 49 Gunter 0. FINAL Tyler Chapel Hill 21 West Columbia 16 – Final Waco Midway 54 Wichita Falls Rider 27 - 4th Muleshoe 43 - Eastland 36 Final Burton 55 Falls City 30 – Final Argyle 38 Gilmer 28 Munday 35 Windthorst 28 – Final Melissa 42 Daingerfield 14 - Final
21. Chapel Hill scores a TD with 9 seconds left, now up 20-16 on West Columbia.  They must have 9 lives in these playoffs.
22. Lake Travis holds on for the win 14-9 Apparently Chapel Hill gave up a safety, down 16-14 very late
23. Crow is better when it's warm.  Need to hear from all those Coldspring doubters tonight.
24. Alvarado 34 Henderson 13 – FINAL Waco Midway 44  Wichita Falls Rider 27 Lake Travis 14  Cedar Park 9 Tenaha 55  Mount Enterprise 6 – Final West Columbia 14  Tyler Chapel Hill 14 Garrison 31  Lovelady 0 – Final Lexington 47  Arp 14 Argyle 35  Gilmer 28 John Tyler 28  Sherman 21
25. Tatum wins 34-33.  Crockett misses XP to tie with about 1:30 left in the game.
