So the decision to Merge or not-to-Merge will be finalized tomorrow, January 18, 2018???
-
I would be a disaster if they made the decision after Feb. 1, I would think.
-
I'm wondering if any schedule plan he puts in place will cross the Superintendent's desk for approval? Or, it might be "tentative" waiting on the new HC/Ad's approval. This is a tough spot for them because most schedules are finalized pretty quickly after Feb. 1.
-
Don't they have to have a decision made prior to February 1 when UIL announces the new District alignments?
-
Are you referring to the true split back veer? Or veer from the wishbone? Now, if you are referring to the flexbone, then Waskom is a great source of information.
-
So is Doughty still running the off-season program and doing the day-to-day work of the AD? Is Doughty going to be the one to finalize the non-district schedule? Always an interesting dynamic when the man leaving is making he schedule for the next two years.

Like Coach T is fond of saying: "You can't win the Kentucky Derby riding a mule."

Who will be the QB for PN-G next year?
PlayActionPass replied to aki1994's topic in High School Football
Would really hate to see my QB get hurt on defense or returning a kick. If your QB has to go both ways because you don't have enough athletes or players at the 4A level then you aren't going very far in the playoffs anyway. -
Application deadline is January 28.
-
Do you have any insight?

I agree 100%

Hmm....

Both teams averaging over 50 points a game, probably going to be a shoot-out.

Your updates have to be quick in this game

Just for those that don't know, in 6 man if you kick it it is worth 2 points, if you run it or throw it is only 1 point.

Texas 10 Highest Paid HS Football Coaches

It is simple economics, whoever brings in the revenue deserves the reward. Saban, and Alabama football, bring in more revenue to the University that any other entity other that student tuition. -

You Sir are insane and asinine, College Football at places like Alabama, Texas, aTm and other such institutions pays for higher learning. Many programs outside athletics are funded in large part by the revenue and increased student population from Football. -
I was just thinking the same thing, WOS has ZERO problem with the travel. And I know Katy has waon at AT&T as well as Lake Travis and a slew of others. Anybody who complains about this is just making an EXCUSE, but what do we expect, it is the nature of society.

West Orange Stark vs Pleasant Grove

That is the reason I said HOPE. I know Coach T and his staff are not and with it being a State Championship game, I would think the players aren't either. -
What really matters is the NRG experience SUCKS!!! I would much rather make the 4 hour drive to AT&T than the 2 hour drive to NRG to play a game. AT&T takes care of the players, coaches, media and fans and creates a game EXPERIENCE. NRG opens the doors and says "here you go, go play your game."

You obviously have no earthly idea how many hours a HFC puts in on a yearly basis to his JOB. He may make over $100,000 a year, but he earns it. And I can guarantee you that if the HFC is making over $100,00 then so is the campus principal. And I sure don't see that Principal teaching any classes. Administrators make more money, that is the way of the economy. The longer you stay in any line of work, the more you move up the chain of command, the more money you make. Just like in the military, the grunts do all of the heavy lifting and make the least amount of money. The Generals have the six figure salaries. -

Not a huge fan of PG, but you obviously have not seen PG up close and personal. They are big, but they can move too and they will do it for 4 quarters. I really hope WOS is not sleeping on the Hawks or this could be a rude awakening. PG throws the ball much better than Kennedale did at the time WOS played them. The Mustangs will have to defend the entire field, because PG will stretch you horizontally with the speed sweep and vertically with the play action passing game. -
This topic wear me out. It comes up every year, and we hear the same old sad arguments. All of the above is the correct answer. Travel has an impact on the game, especially if the TEAMS are not taught how to travel, have not prepared for the travel time, don't have some plan in place that has been proven to get a team ready to play when they travel. This is called PREPARATION and is a part of the coaches job. Quality of opponent has a HUGE impact on mistakes, always seems that here are more penalties and more turnovers when you play superior opponents, that is not a coincidence. The Dallas area has an advantage over South Texas because they have communities that have stayed independent and kept their "local" school boards and leaders in place. Frisco and Fort Worth area schools have followed the multi (4 or more) high schools in one District approach like the Houston area and have seen very little success.
