That one is easy. Carthage has always had athletes, but not enough to win it all without elite coaching. They won district championships and even made deep runs with good coaching. When they got the elite coach, they started winning Championships. Some places have enough elite athletes to overcome mediocre coaching and still win it all. But, I will say it again. You are not even winning a district championship without a few great athletes.

You can win a state championship without an elite coach. But you are not even winning a District championship without a couple elite players.

That is an interesting question. I think they will base out of the wing-T for sure, that is the smash mouth brand of football Chad believes in. But, they may have more versatile athletes in El Campo, so he may be may be more open to other schemes.

And they have another very talented Sophomore group.

It is a bit depressing to know before the season ever starts that you will never score more than 21 points, never see the ball in the air more than 3 times in a game and know beyond a shadow of a doubt your best athletes will never play on offense.
