Orangefield isn't known for their volleyball team, but I remember beating Evadale in the championship of their own tournament. I didn't see any big schools in Evadale's summer league. The OFB3ASC2010 is a joke Bleed and I did on the boys basketball forum. You are correct.Just friendly jabbing. We really enjoy the competition from OF We know no matter what sport we compete in with OF its going to be very competitive. We did have HF,LCM,Woodville,Kirbyville,Silsbee and Deweyville. Jasper was supposed to play but never showed up. It was very competitive and very rough.

Bi-district starts the 9th of May so it would have to be a warm-up game for the teams. A call to the coaches about the game and making it a part of festival is worth a try.Game could be on 7th. Could be called Catfish Festival (annual hook line and sinker baseball game)

Here is a suggestion. Schedule a game around CATFISH FESTIVAL. Give the winner a big CATFISH TROPHY and let it travel from winners school to winners school for bragging rights. It would be a great draw for the festival and great crowd to watch the game. Both these teams are good and I think both teams would play with great desire and sportsmanship. How bout it coaches get it together even charge 1$ admission for the scholarship fund. Or just pass the hat. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Turning rivalry into stimulus money.

There were cameras and stands falling over. The ball would not sit still on the greens. The winds were gusting to 60 mph. You cannot play golf on greens that are running a 12 when the wind is blowing that hard. Well when I slap my money down and Ive been planning to play all week, the skins game is on rain or shine. They dont really love the game like I do. They love the money. I played yesterday and called the clubhouse from number three green and they brought the stempmeter out and the greens were a 10 and the wind was gusting to 45 mph. I shot 93, thats right 93. AND I WON A BUCK 50 : I bought the other 3 guys a gumball with the winnings and we loved every minute of the day. Is it just me or are these guys so pampered to play this game now they cant play in the wind. They already have millions watching them hit so they never lose a ball unless in water, they can hit it in the bleachers and get a drop, too much rain on the course, cancel round, heading out of bounds oops hit somebody lining the fareway no penalty. Im beginning to think I can play with these guys. Just take all my lost ball penalties and out of bounds strokes out of my game and let me play with no wind and a perfect lie and smooth greens and a driver the size of a volkswagon and I think I am right up there with the big guys.(GIVE ME A BREAK ) ;D ;D :D

I can only say congrats to H-J on great season, but when will any teams of today take free throw shooting seriously. You want to win the big games, become great free throw shooters, all of you out there who play the game. Learn to shoot free throws, I have seen to many great teams get beat at the free throw line. You dont have to look any further in this game. Just look at the numbers. I think H-J missed 13 and they lose in ot by 4

Thorndale 63 Evadale 31 There was no answer to the Youngblood twins. Lindsey had 28 and Morgan had 17 The lady rebels fought hard but just couldnt match Thorndale firepower. It took 31 games but someone finally scored 60 points on the lady rebs. You had a great season and can be very proud. The lady rebs will lose 5 seniors, Megan Toms, Kristen and Carolyn Gregory,Mindi Block and Lona Nichols, congrats to you seniors you were great leaders. The lady rebs will reload with Bailey Gravis,Kaci Jones,Sierra Griffin,Haleigh Conner,Ariel Wills,Ashton Clark and Holly Herrington. Final record 25-6 District Champions 10-0 Area Champions Champions of Evadale Ty 2nd Warren Ty Undefeated in Deweyville Ty. Not bad at all.................. ;D

Evadale has to take care of Thorndale. One game at a time. But I will tell you I think an unranked team may be the toughest of all at the regional, that being Normangee, they have a couple of real good players and they have been unranked all year because of a late start and losses in the early part of season. They can not be taken lightly, they are very good. They have some impressive wins over Cayuga 45-41, New Waverly (Kountze Opponent tonight)72-55 and a consolation championship in the Bryan College Station Tournament earlier in the season. They own a couple of playoff wins vs Granger 68-50 and Louise 73-53. They are already in the Regional with their win last night. They are about 23-5 I would love to see an Evadale/Normangee matchup at the Regional because that will mean we have won two more games. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Easier said than done.Tonight is a key game for the lady rebels and they have to devote all attention to Thorndale.
