  1. What was Kirby's honor in football this season? Just first team or did he get a superlative??
  2. Coach Broussard has decided to take a job at Memorial. And he is up for OF job
  3. ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — The Texas Rangers are sticking with manager Ron Washington, at least through 2010. “This was an easy decision,†Rangers general manager Jon Daniels said in a statement Monday announcing they exercised their contract option to retain him for next season. “We’re excited about the direction the club is going under Ron’s leadership and we look forward to a long, productive relationship with him as our manager.†The Rangers led the AL West and were tied with the New York Yankees for the best record in the American League heading into Monday’s games. The Rangers have led their division for 33 days, their longest stretch since 1999. Washington, in his third season with the team, is 187-193 with Texas and is the fourth-longest tenured manager in Rangers history. He was hired in 2006 with a two-year contract with team options for 2009 and 2010.
  4. Nobody wants to hear me talk LOL. We are looking at a new approach for the show instead of just giving the schedule.

  7. We can't do it at Hooters. I would never pay attention and Mike would do all the talking. I would just sit there, drink a bunch of ummmmmmmm water and go "what you say Mike?"
  8. That'll never happen. Doesn't matter what he does. I know I still don't like him. I'd pick him first for my team though! It will be nice though knowing JoesBros is crying in a brew
  9. Don't let him fool you, I saw Joey yesterday in the mall sporting a UT hat and shirt.
  10. Getting closer and closer to Kobe shutting all the haters up.
  11. It is only because baseball is taking a vacation. It is king and will be back whenever it is done letting football feel like it is on the same level.
  12. Your comments are greatly appreciated. I am humbled by your words. I do this because I love it and I hope it shows in my broadcasts. Again, thanks for your kind words. As long as you don't talk about the Aggies I'm sure you do fine. What I will say about AggiesAreWe is he simply loves high school sports. Yes he wants the best for our local guys but the love of sports is what drives him to do what he does. I do the same thing on a daily basis. I want the best for all SETX teams and players but I go to the games for the pure love of the sports itself. Keep doing what you do Mike, the area appreciated it I promise.
  13. As a Yankees' fan, thank you Rangers
  14. andruw jones was bigger, IMO. Palmeiro's was pretty big as well. Also, McGuire went from a hero to an outcast in about 20 minutes. Andruw Jones is at least still playing and CAN, even though won't, still turn it around.
  15. I guess I understand where you are coming from cause I'm on the flip side as a sports writer. I hear more constructive criticism than applause. It just goes with the territory.
  16. Eat a Lubys. What?? I'm a simple kinda guy.
  17. That is seriously fast.
