Saw Kirbyville and think OF should win the game going away. OF's speed and defense will be the key. Plus the depth the Lady Cats have will play a big part.

Think Ill be at this one, if everything stays to plan.

Im waiting for the Rockets to trade for Iverson giving up Yao and Battier...This would only had to the city of Houstons' horrible week (in my mind it was)

I like his game. He scores and plays harder just about as hard as anyone in the NBA.

Just cant see who the rockets would give up and if he would fit here. Great player just wrong place. I have never heard Houston being mentioned, just curious what people thought.

It is starting to come to my mind that at the game, the KVilles book may have been wrong. For some reason I believe that was Kellum, No. 32 really, but the book had Kellum as 33.

I just dont like this trade. Jennings has had one year with an era under 4 and yes I know colorado is a hard place to pitch but how can you give up Willy T when your offense is as dismal as Houstons.

This is a guy who gets on base just as good as anyone in the league and that is one of the best ways to put runs on the board.

Just like the last few years, the astros pitching may be great but losing 3-1 is still a loss.

dont forget in that garland trade as well they were going to give up Willy T... The Texans and Astros seriously need to be tutored on how to run a team. Trading Willy T would have been another terrible mistake.

Just watching Vidor from the first game of the tourney to their last there was improvement in the little things. Be glad you got to play the Lady Cats. A lot can be learned by how they play the game. Vidors coach shows a lot of emotion and care for that program and hopefully soon the Vidor vs OF can be more competitive.

OF did not run up that score and would not intentionally do that. This is coming from an unbiased person here, heck im from PNG!

I thought all the OC teams in the tourney showed a lot in different aspects.

OF showed they seem to have things heading back in the right direction. LCM showed toughness and found ways to win and Vidor showed improvement in fundamentals in their last game against Newton

Just from the girls I cover on a regular basis I say either Scott from WOS or Shores or Little in OF....hard to choose from those three studettes!

Im sure there are others in the area but these are just the ones I see on a weekly basis

Lady Bears seem to get better each time I cover them. Coach Ellerbee has these girls on the right path. Good things are coming

Congrats to the Lady Bobcats, even though the last win game against my Lady Indians.

I was still rooting for the Lady Cats (gosh the PNG people will be on me for this) since I have seen these girls play since their freshman year.

PNG is improving and the Lady Cats sure seem to be back on the right track. Look forward to the district season!

I am the one who covered that game and know the Lady Cats very well. There are few teams around with as much class as they do. It was never apparent they ran up the score intentionally. You cannot tell kids to not score in basketball. In all likely hood, OF probably could have scored a lot more than 78.

One of my favorite quotes ever is from Steve Spurrier while at Florida,

"It is not my job to help your defense stop my offense."

OF ran plays and were able to find scoring opportunities from them. I just checked the scorebook and most of the scoring in the fourth came from girls not in the starting lineup except for one player.

Buddy is a good player for WO-S and always comes up and says hi to me in the stands and talks for a few. Good kid and seems like he has his head on straight.

Ramsey is a great kid and the All Orange Leader team is right around the corner. You can bet we didnt let this one slip through the cracks.

I just signed up for this site to talk about this game specifically. I covered the game tonight for the Leader and have never been so excited at a game.

Both teams looked great.

It was the second time for me to see Silsbee and they look real impressive and I noticed one more thing. They are a very classy team. Several times I thought I would see some kind of celebrating but it never came. Kudos for the whole Lady Tigers team.

As for the Lady Cats, I love covering this team and always have. They are fun to watch and report on. This loss just might do more for OF than a 10 point win would have done. When I returned to the Leader one of the first things I thought of was getting back to watching Lady Cats bball.
