As far as I know we have all our guys ready to go. Let's not start something here.
I heard that all nine of our starters are gonna be out with the FLU...... ::)
Never jinx your kids!
 2. Doesn't the district committee decide how it plays out...flip or play in seeding...at the beginning of the year or possibly as soon as the district is named? So what happens on a tie is set. What is their district's policy?
 3.
Did you just call out a high school kid by name? And call him low class.  I am shocked, that is completely uncalled for.  You just don't do that.  He shouldn't have done it but a kid is a kid and they make mistakes, that is how they learn. Oh and actually you called out the catcher too.  So that is two kids with one post.
Derek Jeter makes millions and makes mistakes. Every kid will make mistakes. It's called Learning and no better way than hands on mistakes. Everyone's better for making some. Lay off posting kids names.
 4.
As for the KISS that happened, it just showed how low class he really is. I would suspect it from the catcher #7 but not Price. IDK if any of you have been to a UH game but their is a lot of heckling from both ends... if their coach sees that i doubt he will be playing much. For another issue. 1st inning BH up to bat. 2 outs bases loaded. Ground ball to the short stop it is tossed to the 2nd baseman who drops the ball. UMP still calls the out? Cost BH 2 runs atleast and momentum of the game. Saved GCM the downfall. Home field call?
Sounds like Home Cookin! But surely not in Baytown! These posts are better than SB posts. I'll just have to frequent these a bit more. Thanks for the entertainment!
 5. Who has the best pitching STAFF, and will Use it wisely, and go deep into the playoffs with a true staff that will manhandle the best of three series? Opinions? Supporting evidence?
 6. 20-4A is going to be tough to beat at the top!
 7.

I was not blown away either. A wins a win. I was pleased that GCM battled back after a poor start. It would have been very easy to just try again on Friday. Thought it was interesting that Denny opted to lift Leggett from the line-up instead of just moving him to 3rd. He had 3 hits up to that point.
and 3 RBI's. I did not understand that move at all.
As an outsider looking in..........I have heard about and left a few games scratching my head thinking that BH should have won the game only to watch some goofed up trickery. Congrats to Coach Rupp and the GCM Patriots.
From an OUTSIDER LOOKING IN is typically an old poster with a NEW handle and someone DEFINITELY on the INSIDE bluffing he's on the OUT.
 8.
Jarrian Rhone jumped '23 "5 1/2 in long jump to finish 1st Ashly Johnson high jumped '5"8 to finish second to a girl in 5A that jumped '5"10
I understand the animosity between you and Craig S just a little more! Hmmm 5'8"...nice SILSBEE high jump! Is that a school record?
 9. So the best running back in the state gets an op to play for PNG and the only drawback is he has to wait 15 days before playing varsity ball? Is that...what maybe 1 game he'll miss??? As I said...recruiting will take on a whole new dimension if open enrollment exists.  Maybe all our schools should consider it? Kind if like Baytown back in the day when your daddy could get a job at Exxon if he had good stocky boys to come along too and play for the Ganders.
 10.
Read last quote from him....Austin it is!!!
I knew it...too many chances to be big time back there.
 11. Most girls HS teams would never be the teams they are without select sports athletes. Coaches are lucky to have them and should be flexible at times. It's funny though how some coaches will shun a player for playing another sport or two. What? Do they not want true athletes on their team? Can they not be a bit flexible when their really true athlete has another obligation that will benefit their future? Give and take will help their team. But I'm sure the parents that are complaining to the coaches about select sport athletes playing above their darlings are the players who are either not very athletic or ones who don't put their kid's first and see that they have better training, sometimes year round, in specific sports so they can excel and rise above others and make their HS teams more successful simply because they found an avenue to be a better trained athlete. The worst we've found are volleyball coaches who demand...illegally I might add...that the VB girls train together one week prior to the legal day to start workouts. So the successful 16u or Gold SB player has to get grief from the VB Coach and be punished either by playing on JV even though she's a better player than 99% of the varsity players or gets on varsity and sits til the coach gets beat enough they have to put her in. That shows up quickly who should have been on varsity all along or who should have been playing on varsity and not sitting so much. It's funny then on the flip side when a SB and VB select player in both sports has a club VB tournament on a Sat and her HS softball coach gladly accepts that she needs to miss practice. Give and take like I said helps everyone. Funny too how most SB teams around SE Texas are more successful by going deeper in the playoffs than their NONFLEXIBLE HS VB coaches. Just my two cents!
 12.
Please can this be over!
I agree....stupid thread wasting space...does it really matter At 10u? Enjoy ur time w your girls...not time posting!
 13. Kids feel pressure to perform and coaches feel pressure to win. Not a good combination when a kid's arm needs to rest.
 14.

if he does go to texas then they will have a lethal backfield with Malcolm Brown from cibolo steele and Gray.
A defenses worst nightmare!!...lol
True...oh how true.
 15.
I bet all the officials in the area are throwing a party right now.
True...but he made sure they had back up on every controversial call. Good man! Hard to replace!
 16. Wow...super cool. Thanks for informing me! Go all the way!!
 17. Smitty No...but money doesn't make the world go 'round either, but it sure makes the ride worth riding. Support your schools and provide your community with the best!
 18. Excellent man and coach! Enjoy your retirement...you deserve to be really happy!
 19.
Questions arose with the first bond issue about all the repairs needed to the existing facilities.  The main question was asked: doesn't NISD have a maintenance department?  Why were they not maintaining.  I guess since the 1st bond was overwhelmingly defeated, their answer was not sufficient.  IMHO!   PS - I would have to disagree that super facilities make super students.  I don't think people are falling for that argument.  NISD has one of the highest tax rates in the state.  So, who sets the rate that determines that one community cares more than another community.  Are there certain caring tax rate levels that I'm not aware of? The point I'm making is, contrary to some beliefs here, facilities do not make for a better student! PSS - Did a 10 million dollar stadium make PN-G a better football team?  I think not.  Heck, they won a state championship playing in that 'OLD" stadium! I didn't say buildings or facilities made better students. In fact I said HF had super great students and faculty. But school and community pride is important and buildings run down or out of date make pride diminish and eventually academic and athletic programs begin to suffer because of the out of date accommodations everyone endures...even the taxpayers with kids out of the house. Take pride in your community and build it and maintain it for the future so Nederland can continue to be a strong community. Isn't that alone worth it to you?
Smitty You can be like HF and turn down bonds year after year like they did over the years and the effects of poor facilities takes its toll on a community. Super great students and faculty, but they deserved more from their community back in the days that bond elections were denied. I bet hindsight shows everyone there that it's ok to say yes to responsible bond packages. If not, playing catch up gets you further and further behind. JMO
