PITTS[/glow]   none of theses boys have signed ..WOW...These boys are a big part of Nederlands last two disrict titles... ???
Update: All three are still unsigned....and all three were a big part of Nederland's[glow=red,2,300] THREE CONSECUTIVE DISTRICT TITLES[/glow]
Great Job Dogs!  Pitts, Sonnier, Smith, Babino, and Schlett, will graduate having been a part of all three Championships and Jacob has 2 others in basketball....Not to mention a clean sweep of PNG in all male sports their Senior year! ;D ;)  This group of Seniors has been fun to watch and extremely successful.  I am proud of all of them!  But remember the goal is not just to win district.  Let's keep rollin'.
Couldn't have said it better myself! Great job Bulldogs......Proud of em all......Only wish it wouldn't have gone by so dang fast...... [Hidden Content]
 4.

Thursday, April 21 is National High Five Day (NH5D), (every third Thursday in April) a day to give a hand in the air salute to another, EVEN if you don't know them! NH5D began at the University of Virginia in 2002 when three friends decided to form their own holiday. Late the next day when the three friends woke up, they remembered they'd decided to form their own holiday and decided to actually do it!The idea was simple, that you could better someone's day by going into your community and offering even strangers high fives. The holiday has evolved to the point that a scholarship has been set up to help a deserving student in the spirit of high fiving! [Hidden Content]
I wonder if they woke up late the next day because they had been celebrating weed smoker's holiday the day before?   ;D
If that were the case, it would be National Fast Food Day. ;D
Or they could 've been celebrating the Great Smokeout over Boulder, Co [Hidden Content]
 5.
Stephen Schlett-Ned
Nice Profile Pic! Stevo is batting .300 with 31 RBIs and a District Leading  6 Home Runs.........
 6. Maxprep says the same thing.... I thought it was a typo.....
 7. Instead of dwelling on what if's and umpires, let's acknowledge what a great job this years Dogs are doing....Great pitching, clutch hitting up and down the lineup and sparkling defense ( for the most part)
 8. Be careful not to lump all players who are no longer on the team together as quitters..... I, for one, know that Tanner J is not a quitter. He hurt his shoulder in football ( imagine that!) and tried to play thru it this season....He is scheduled for or has recently had surgery to repair his shoulder. Something that will affect him for the rest of his life if not repaired.....I can't speak for any of the others.......
 9.
Great job Blue...I watched the video and it was obvious my daughter could have caught that ball and besides that the umpire could have been hurt really bad......Might have been that called out strike that let that one get away, "Whoops".....Let's don't forget there was an Umpire/Adult in this situation,  glad he took control, need more like him.... Congrats to Nederland on the win.....
I got an idea then, gear your daughter up and let her catch some T Smith or Bret Brown bb's !!! Better yet, YOU suit up  and give it a go. Step over to the bullpen when a pitchers warming up and get a true feel of the velocity theses kids throw. A good catcher IS NOT going to track a breaking ball with his glove. Unfortunatly Lance didnt have the vid in realtime, i believe some opinions would be different.
Great Point Dog, It's scary standing on the other side of the fence by the bullpen when they warm up.....you can hear the pitch ....you can feel the pitch...but you can rarely see the pitch........and you can really get an appreciation for how good Babino is to catch them......
 10.

The dogs will definitely win this one at home. No doubt about it.
Couldn't agree more. Dogs something like 7-1.
You hit it pretty close magic
 11. 5th on T Smith.......that boy has some skillz..... somebody better sign him quick.....His price keeps going up!
 12. and what makes you think you could do with  6 outs what you hadn't done with 15 outs.....and did ya'll see Dup warming up in our bullpen? Just consider yourself lucky that you didn't have to face him.......
 13. We were just getting warmed up......I wish we would've gotten all of our at-bats in......I'd say we were cheated out of at least 5 more runs the way the game was going.......
 14.
I can't remember the lines at Ned but center is 370
Ned is 318 down both lines...
 15. ALL HAIL the Mighty Battlin' Bears! .... Give em the Number one spot......and then let everybody load up to try and beat em!
 16.

Congrats to Vidor, ALL HAIL THE MIGHTY PIRATES......let's anoint  them the new DISTRICT CHAMPS now and get it over with...... ;)
Call me crazy, but you sound ALOT like one bitter baseball dad
Not bitter at all.... I said BEFORE the game that it didn't mean that much either way for either team, except it was the first game of district...I'm happy for Mojica and Hagler ( only ones I know)...  What I'm more excited about is that it seems like this district is really gonna step it up competitively this year. That is good news for the four teams that do make the playoffs. Records don't make you better, good competition makes you better.....( BTW a wink should clue you in that I meant it in a Humorous way.....)
 17. Congrats to Vidor, ALL HAIL THE MIGHTY PIRATES......let's anoint  them the new DISTRICT CHAMPS now and get it over with...... ;)
 18. Langham Creek Jumps to 6th rank nationally in Maxpreps poll. And congrats to Nederland for hanging with them for 5 innings and for helping drop Sugarland Clements from 3rd to 14th nationally in the same poll by beating them 12-7!
 19. Great Job Dogs, This Tournament success will give this Dog team confidence and something to build on going into District play. Very impressive games against QUALITY 5a Houston teams. This weekend had everything from close scoreless pitching duels until late in the game( Langham Creek 0-2) to blowout victories( Atascocita 13-3), to dramatic gut-wrenching come from behind walk off wins ( Travis 9-8) to completely overwhelming an overconfident nationally ranked team that jumped on us for 4 runs in the first. (Clements 12-5).......The Langham Creek head coach labeled us "THE BEASTS FROM THE EAST" after our awesome showing.....
 20. My pick would have to be Stephen Schlett from Nederland. Three yr Varsity starter, Two time District Champs, All District 2nd Base 2010, 1st Team Beaumont Enterprise Team 2009, led team in Home Runs as a sophomore, and currently leads the district in Home Runs. He has been paired up with Sonnier up the middle since they were in Little League. If you haven't seen them "turn two"; you need to catch one of our games.....He has great range, soft glove, excellent footwork, and quick transition from glove to throw.....and yes he has taken his share of spikes to the shin and elsewhere on plays at 2nd......
 21.
If GCM gets to play Nederland again, the first thing we'll do is have Stevo pee in a cup. Kid is pounding the ball.
That's funny( for those of us who know him)........but don't start any silly rumors for those who don't know him! I know it's meant as a compliment...... He has worked hard and really gotten alot stronger this year, thanks to football and Powerhouse gym.....
