Beaumont United game will have it's own game thread. I will post it around 6pm.

Friday, March 10 2A 8:30am #1 Lipan (36-1) vs. #5 New Home (31-7) 10am #10 Flatonia (34-4) vs. #2 La Rue La Poyner (32-7) 4A 1:30pm #1 Oak Cliff Faith Family Academy (30-3) vs. #17 Canyon Randall (28-9) 3pm #7 Boerne (32-5) vs. #4 Houston Washington (28-7) 6A 7pm #2 Beaumont United (35-1) vs. #14 Northside Brennan (32-7) 8:30pm #1 Richardson Lake Highlands (32-3) vs. #16 DeSoto (30-8)

So far, the end of regular season rankings are holding up pretty well. The three championship game match ups: 1A #1 vs. #2 3A #2 vs. #5 5A #1 vs. #2 I predict in 6A a #1 vs. #2 final, 4A a #1 vs. #4 and 2A a #1 vs. #2.

Final Mansfield Summit 50 Killeen Ellison 52 #1 Dallas Kimball vs. #2 Killeen Ellison for 5A State Championship, Saturday, 3pm

End 3rd Mansfield Summit 33 Killeen Ellison 39

I watched this game at the sports book at Horseshoe Casino. Lamar was ice cold from three land. Southeastern made some defensive adjustments in 2nd half, shutting down Lamar inside game.

Halftime Mansfield Summit 19 Killeen Ellison 22

Final Childress 69 Lytle 48 #2 Hitchcock vs. #5 Childress for 3A State Championship, Saturday, 10am

End 3rd Childress 48 Lytle 30 Lytle with much better shooting that quarter (7/13, 54%) but still trail by 18

Lytle shot 17% (4/23) from the field in that 1st half.

Halftime Childress 35 Lytle 12

Childress looks like they could hang with Hitchcock.

End 1st Childress 15 Lytle 7

If they win state championship, they will be #1 in 3A going into next season. Guarantee. Highly doubt they play Silsbee.

Hitchcock is very young. The bulk of their scoring, rebounding are soph. Only one senior contributes. 85% of their scoring will return next season.

Final Hitchcock 69 Hooks 36

I tend to agree.

Their wins over Ponder and Mineola are considered upsets. Hitchcock is very good.

End 3rd Hitchcock 54 Hooks 22

Final Jayton 46 McMullen County 36 #1 Graford vs. #2 Jayton for 1A State Championship, Saturday 8:30am

End 3rd Jayton 32 McMullen County 23

End 1st Jayton 12 McMullen County 7
