  6. Dang!! Pretty accurate prediction.
  7. This game will now be broadcast on Texan Live.
  8. That's how I see it as well. I will be very surprised if either team scores more than 30 points.
  9. I completely agree. But if I were to put a betting line on this game, I would have it Silsbee -6

  16. Another week of weather that may have games moved. Post any changes to games scheduled for this week. Sabine Pass at Colmesneil moved to Thursday night, 7pm.
  17. I agree. I don't see either team scoring more than 30.
  18. Texan Live is only contracted to do Silsbee home games. They are not required by contract to do their out of town games during regular season. They have done a few but mainly because they have contracts with the other schools. The HF game was not done due to facilities and the Jasper game is not being done due to the fact that Jasper has a free video broadcast and they are not allowed to do games there. A lot of the time facilities and broadband access has a lot to do with what games they do.
  19. Wrong. The temporary injunction the kids mom got through the courts was why he was able to play during the season. It wasn't till after the season was over when the Supreme Court threw out the injunction case so the player went back to being ineligible like the UIL originally had ruled. That is why they are ruling on this situation now.
  20. Matt Stepp @Matt_Stepp817 · 1h Duncanville HC David Peavy given a one year suspension and the UIL reserves the right to revisit further sanctions on Duncanville's boys basketball program as a result
  21. I can't decide who I am taking in this one and if I am going to this game. If West Texas BBQ was still open, this would be a no brainer. Elijah's in Jasper is currently in the lead for my attendance Friday night.
  22. Not necessarily. The loser of this game still could find their way to the playoffs because of other game results this week. These three games listed determine who goes and who stays without any other game being involved.
  23. This should explain it: Per the Dallas Morning News, The ineligible player — Anthony Black, now a freshman at Arkansas — transferred to Duncanville from Coppell last summer, and was ruled ineligible by the state executive committee in September. But in November, Black and his mother, Jennifer, filed a temporary restraining order against the UIL to prohibit the organization from enforcing its ban, and alleged a violation of Jennifer and Anthony’s constitutional rights. The temporary restraining order allowed Black to play in Duncanville’s postseason games — including the state championship game against McKinney — through the UIL retroactively deemed him ineligible Monday. Black was named MVP of Duncanville’s 69-49 win over McKinney in March’s state championship after he scored a team-high 19 points
  24. I may change my plans from Silsbee/Jasper game to HD/Evadale.
