I have been down with the flu the last few days but if I am feeling up to it I will be heading up to Big Sandy to watch two of my favorite teams and coaches in East Chambers and Todd Sutherland and Big Sandy and Kevin Foster. I really hate there is a chance I'll miss this one. Don't get this kind of match up very often.

We have some big time games this Friday night which include some key district games. To my knowledge never or before my time. But I can ask. Now the local TASO Basketball chapter has done several state tournament games over the years.

FW Chapter is one the better chapters in the state minus the crew that did last night's game.

Mason Brisbane is the QB, his brother Max is the WR and plays basketball. Silsbee is not growing. Been pretty stagnant growth wise for several years now.

#4 and #5 for Albany are DUDES!! Mart has no answer for those guys. But, Albany is getting away with a good deal of holding in the line. But with this crew, I would do the same.

Silsbee QB doesn't play basketball but his twin brother who was a WR on the football team does play.

PN-G/SOC is getting a Fort Worth Chapter crew but not this crew. No crew will do multiple state games. There will be chapters that do multiple games but not crews.

I don't state this very often but this officiating crew is terrible. It's like the game is too big and fast for them.

How in the heck did that officiating crew call that a fumble recovered by Mart?!! Not a single Mart player got his hands on the ball. Good thing that replay is in play or that would have been terrible. Had this game been played in semifinal, that would have gone down as one of the worst calls ever.

Bally has the rights for state title games. Not NFHS

Some, not all. LC-M is very capable of beating Silsbee. I like how Vidor is playing right now. I don't see a 40 point blow out when those two meet. Jasper will match Silsbee's athleticism and if Silsbee has a terrible night shooting, could be much closer than folks might think. WO-S, BC and Lumberton could very well get 40 pieced.
