Go back and read my post.  I said WOS should be ahead of Nederland, but not Kirbyville, Silsbee or Jasper.  Last year should have very little to do with this poll.  We all know that Nederland lost their starting QB against WOS last year and were down to their 4th string QB for most of the year.  Kirbyville losing to WOS by one point last year should have nothing to do with this. And as I also stated earlier, Silsbee will be a much different team this year as well.
I disagree!  WOS is returning most of the exact same kids that beat Nederland by 21 and Kirbyville is also returning most of the exact kids. It has alot to do with last year!  I think ranking wise they are where they need to be.  Nederland had their struggles last year and there is nothing in place that would suggest anything different.  Most preseason rankings are a combination of what they did last year combined with what they have coming back and are expected to do this year. Therefore, in my opinion Nederland is where they need to be and if they have improved and get the wins that matter then they will end up where they deserve.
You tell'em rykerx. Great point. ;D
 2. I agree that Silsbee will be different.
 3. Just to explain the points, a team gets 15 points for a 1st place vote, 14 for 2nd, 13 for 3rd and so on and so on. That's why you see West Brook with 150 points. There are 10 pollsters and all 10 voted them #1. Now, as to why West Brook was voted #1 or why any of the other teams got voted in whatever spot they ended up in, I believe it to be a multitude of reasons. But that's how the points work. I answered your question about the points but to answer any questions as to how a team was voted would be pointless. ;D
 4.
Nice interview. He impressed me last year. Is he the most highly recruited QB in the area?
I think Reyes of West Brook is better but as for as highly recruited, not sure who is being recruited more. I know that Garrett from WOS is getting looks as well as the Huffman QB.
 5. Community Pep Rally Friday, August 20th, 7:00pm, Silsbee High School Auditorium!!!! Come meet and greet the TIGERS, LADY TIGERS, CHEERLEADERS, and TIGERETTES!!!
 6.
whatever makes you feel better about your team gettin whooped AAW
I feel better. Thanks for being concerned.
 7. Due to some problems with our site streaming, we will not be able to do our weekly preview show tonight. We are planning to do two shows next week if our streaming is back up and running. Stay tuned and sorry for the inconvience.
 8. I figured TT's 50% remark was exaggerated. Again, TT at his best in downing a program that he fears will best his Sam.
 9. 2A-Private will be a combined top 15 just like 5A-3A. Yes, the teams in Deweyville's district will be included in this poll. Seperate divisions will not matter in these polls.
 10. First of all, I do not know of any stadiums in the Gloden Triangle area. ;D But, if you meant Golden Triangle, why relegate the poll just to two stadiums? And, aren't you comparing apples to oranges? PNG has a football stadium. BISD has an Educational Support Center. That's two different things.
 11.
BC 3 Vidor 2
Hmmmm..... interesting. ;)
 12.

And you did all that with a two year transfer at QB!!! Imagine that. ;D
A two-year transfer? Where did you and UNLV go to school? You guys use as many "fuzzy numbers" as George W. Bush! Dustin Long was only in Huntsville for a year.
Also don't forget if you go out your first year and give scholarships to nothing but incoming freshman to fill your team, you are killing yourself in recruiting the next several years.
There is a way to do it... Didn't Woodard seek out advice from others? I think that's why he wanted a lot of JUCO/FBS guys, but I think he took it to the extreme! Of course, all Woodard knows is JUCO ball and I hope for your program's success, that the FB program is not going to become a lot like your MBB program...
Who are you kidding TT? "I hope for your program's sucess". C'mon, you know that you "hope that Lamar falls flat on their faces" with this program.
 13. I will be giving up to the minute updates on this scrimmage from the Tiger Stadium pressbox. ;D
 14.
ok this is gonna sound rude but it seems like the only way to tell you guys that WOS is still a million miles ahead of Nederland! We had our worst season in about 6 years last season and easily dominated nederland last year! And say what ya'll want about the dayton scrimmage but we actually played it like a scrimmage and looked to fill holes and tried certain plays out, while dayton played it like a serious game. And i dont see how anyone can say anything bad about our defense. We have a great defense each and every year, you cant just a defense by one bad game! Once we get the right people in the right places everything will be fine! Watch!!
From where I was standing (WOS sidelines) it looked to me as though both teams were playing hard. To say one team took the scrimmage serious and the other didn't is ridiculous. I saw up close some very upset WOS coaches. They looked serious to me. I agree with Gas and Griff, this will be a close game.
 15. LCM 3 Silsbee 1 Scores: 20-25, 25-22, 25-21, 25-20 Far from domination, either way. ;) ;D
 16. ET must be behind in his e-mailing. No BC in the polls. ;D
 17.
Question:  Where is Newton & LCM
Newton is off on week 0 and LCM plays on Thursday night and he is not including Thursday night games.
 18.
Does anyone know the time of the Orangefield/ Huffman Scrimmage? ???
I was told it was at 10:30am Thursday morning

 20. Over 16,000 members, not just 6,000. ;) ;D As for coachacola, he deleted his account on his own, no one here forced him to leave. After someone who is a moderator deletes their account, they lose their mod status. He rejoined later as just a regular member. He hasn't asked for his mod status back. The owner of the site usually doesn't give mod status to someone who has deleted their own account and is a mod on another board.
