According to sources, the young man has been suspended from team by Celina coaching staff and admin. No word of how long the suspension will be.

Thanks for the feedback. Keep it coming Whichever format we decide, the preseason rankings will be released next Wednesday, Oct. 26.

Education at it's best

I am told they are the real deal and why I thought SAISD messed up putting those two teams playing each other in 1st round.

I have already had several conversations with Ron on this subject. In his defense, his hands are somewhat tied. I think it's time to have the boys and girls tourneys on different weeks. I realize needing volunteers and being able to cover all the games is a great task. Kudos to the YMBL for what they do.

Will be putting together our preseason rankings soon and wanted to get some feedback on how many polls to have. In the past we did just two polls, Top 12 6A-4A, Top 12 3A-Private. We currently do football in three polls. Top 10 6A-5A, Top 10 4A-3A, Top 10 2A-Private. We will do one of these following: Top 15 6A-4A, Top 15 3A-Private or have rankings like football. What do you guys think?

Not enough to do pool play and using McDonald is useless when the big local boys teams play.

Here are the rankings for each classification: (locals listed under each link) 6A [Hidden Content] 5A [Hidden Content] #15 Port Arthur Memorial, #22 Humble 4A [Hidden Content] #1 Silsbee, #25 Huffman-Hargrave 3A [Hidden Content] #9 Hempstead, #12 Buna, #17 Kountze 2A [Hidden Content] #7 Tenaha, #18 Grapeland, #20 Shelbyville, #22 Evadale, #23 Chireno 1A [Hidden Content] #2 Leggett, #25 Wells Private- Large [Hidden Content] 6A #4 Tomball Concordia, #9 Houston St. Pius X Private- Small: [Hidden Content] 3A #3 Bryan Brazos, #8 Beaumont Legacy 2A #6 Baytown Christian

Pool play! I say again, pool play!!! Just cannot have a bracket play tourney with just 8 teams. Nobody wants to play in that format. Coaches want games. Minimum 4-5 games. Has nothing to do with officials. Only getting three games is just not worth it.

Uh, wasn't it you, a WO-S fan, that started this thread 2 weeks prior to game? Pot, meet kettle.

I find it funny that most folks have completely ignored your "racially overtoned" posts in regards to this game.;)

Silsbee leads the all time series 34-8-1. Tigers have won 21 of last 25 against BC. Longest winning streaks in this series: Silsbee 12, BC 2

Since when does a Liberty/WO-S game need a prediction thread 2 weeks in advance?

Silsbee had 384(302 rush, 82 pass) yards of offense, Navasota 270 (91 rush, 179 pass). Calvin Tyler had 203 yards rushing, 3 TD's. Michael McCain was Hamburger Depot Player of Game. 11 tackles, 3 for loss, 1 sack, 1 pass deflection.

I found out last night that Silsbee's Jordan Adams is in a walking boot. Torn ligament in foot. Be out for a few weeks.

Wrong. This site has always been SETXsports.com. Started in Dec. '05, this is our 11th year. If you are thinking about FNE or the other sites, we had no affiliation.

It's official, West Brook did drop Silsbee. Silsbee has not found a replacement game and does not expect to at this late date.

Plus we knocked them out of the basketball and baseball playoffs last year.
