1.
Back in Nederland for some more fall ball.  WOS beat Kelly 41-14 and Silsbee just beat Memorial 35-34.
Who started for Silsbee? I assume Wilson, Dobbins and Thomas were 3 of the 5.

 4. I am not saying Silsbee's Reed is the best QB in the area, but so far he is having one of the better year's amongst the other local QB's
 5.
Are we talking about passing QB's? Cuz if we aren't if we are just talking QB's then i have to throw Montana Quirante in the pot.
Ok. Vidor's Quirante rushing      62/527 yards  8.5 avg.                        9 TD's passing    11-23, 174 yards                                  0 TD's total              701 yards    175.25 per gm              9 TD's Silsbee's Reed rushing      53/540 yards  10.19 avg.                      5 TD's passing    51-103, 977 yards                                9 TD's total              1,517 yards    303 yards per gm        14 TD's
 6.
I would bet money Dayton nor summer creek would score 4td's on this defense! If they played and you guys were willing to bet id let you name your price. Its easy for people to talk when they don't have to face these guys WOS is the best! And I'm willing to bet money they go further in the playoffs then both Dayton and Summer Creek. Any takers?
I don't necessarily think because a school from another classification advances further in the playoffs makes them the better team over schools from other classifications. If that were the case, we could say that West Sabine or San Augustine is the best team if they advance further than WO-S, PAM or other schools. In the case you have stated, I think it is fair to say that WO-S would have had the more successful season, but not necessarily the best team over those schools in higher classifications.
 7.
watch SA friday and btw look at  the records of the teams they have played
I know the records of those teams. So are you going on record that if SA doesn't beat Tenaha as badly as West Sabine did, you will admit that the Tigers are for real?
 8.

But, Silsbee doesn't need to be "state title" good in order to take down Buna You are correct sir.  But this thread is almost as useless as the Newton v/s Warren thread from last week, do the Silsbee faithful really need to talk trash?  Probably not.  Silsbee is twice the enrollment of Buna, you should and more than likely will give us a sound beating, so, it's expected.
I actually think it will not be a beat down. Yes, I do think Silsbee will win but I do think that Buna will give Silsbee fits. If you look at the stats of the Orangefield game the stats did not show a 48-7 win for Silsbee. Orangefield had a good rushing night against the tigers. Now that being said did not watch the game and most of that could have come in the second half when Silsbee had a big lead. Buna has always been crappy just like Orangefield.
Half time stats: Silsbee            245 yards    34 points Orangefield        68 yards      0 points Orangefield did not pass 100 yards of total offense till the 4th quarter and did not score till late 4th against Silsbee's 2nd team defense. Also Silsbee's 2nd team offense ended up with -30 yards of offense because of bad snaps. Tigers 1st team offense had over 300 yards of offense thru 3 quarters. Orangefield did lead in time of possession 32 minutes to 16. They tried to play keep away as best as possible. So the score did indicate how one sided the game was.
 9.
play somebody West Sabine please?????????????? your combined record of teams is is what 2 and 15???? trust me alto and SA will knock that ranking down real fast
They beat a state ranked Tenaha in Tenaha, 44-29. Looking at this week's 1A state polls, Tenaha is still ranked.

 11.
Not homecoming, say it ain't so...we haven't been a homecoming team for years...I guess that is our true welcome back to 3A (only been gone for 6 years ya know).  I may have to run to Wal-Mart during halftime to do our grocery shopping, nothing more boring than the other teams homecoming.  As far as Silsbee having 4A talent in 3A, probably a few on the roster are, but just because you have beat a few bad 4A teams, don't start making your reservations for Dallas in December just yet.  No doubt the Tigers will unleash some points on the Coogs, but no one in blue and white will give up until the clock reads 00:00, I can assure you that.  Go Cougars!!
I don't see anyone mentioning Dallas when it comes to Silsbee football. ::) But, Silsbee doesn't need to be "state title" good in order to take down Buna. ;) ;D

 19.

man oh man shaking my head at these rookies who actually put stock into a scrimmage.... ::)
Such as yourself and a couple of others from Vidor (on previous posts). The only sensible way to ask this question would be to amend it by saying, "Is WO-S (or PAM, Ned, etc.) the best team in SETX without consideration of classification?"  It would be like saying a certain boxer is the best "pound for pound" fighter.
I agree, griff. and in that case, I would say West Sabine is the best team, pound for pound. ;)
 20. Collapse in Chicago!!! Some players choked their matches today. Namely Furyk and Stricker.
