Saw this tweet today from Beaumont Enterprise sports writer Jared Ainsworth: Jared Ainsworth ‏@JaredAinsworth I spoke to Silsbee coach Joe Sigler today on the Yates game. He said "We respect everybody but we don’t have a fear of anybody."

Schools can have early release for whatever reason as long as the school completes their required school days for school calendar year. bobby, you are reaching. ::)

Yates is in 3A because their enrollment numbers put them there. Just that simple. I do know that HISD decided to not let their schools opt up a classification like they have been doing the last several years. But Yates admins actually thought their numbers would still keep them 4A and that is why they did not check the box to opt up.  It is what it is. I fully expect Yates to be back to 4A next realignment.

Students will be getting out of school at 1pm Tuesday. This will allow students, staff, and admins time to travel to Huntsville for 6pm game against Yates. I did hear there may be some buses for Tiger fans to travel on but have not received confirmation on this yet.

Just wanted to welcome some of the Yates fans who have registered to the site in the last few days. Great to have you guys a part of SETXsports.com!! I have personally spoken with a couple of the Lion fans and look forward to your posts. Spread the word and again, welcome to the party!!

Yates has a deeper bench than Silsbee.

Even Galena Park's abd GCM's when they were in the district. If the game was closer to [b]Crosby the 1400 EC says it could possibly hold wouldn't be enough[/b]. [/quote] I highly doubt that.  ::) EC gym just held this week a 4A double header Bi-District playoffs of Ozen/Summer Creek and Nederland/Humble. I think it is big enough facility for a single game between Crosby and Ozen. ;)

[/quote] I have seen both Crosby and EC facilities (have broadcast games from both gyms). EC hands down is the better facility than Crosby.
