I was only going by Gary's call of the game. He stated the celebration of China Spring kind of spilled over into some BC player's. Kids started shoving each other. He did state that Coach Landry was arguing with an ump and that AD Dubois was on the field as well trying to break up the mess. Never did he say that China Spring started a fight with BC. That was what I was commenting on after kicker posted stating that CS started a fight.

The person I heard over the crowd mic sounded like a BC fan. He was very upset with the result and the no strike call the pitch before the game winning hit. Not being there and not having the opportunity yet to speak with Gary, I am speculating at best.

Not what I heard. China Spring ran out to celebrate and the celebration ran into some BC players. Tempers flared then.

I've known Dennis for many years. Was a teacher at Silsbee for a while. Spoke with him on many occasions about his son, sports and this site. He used to be a member on this site. Just never seemed to be the type to do something like this. Prayers to the family.

I only responded to the comment of typically close games between the two in all sports.

To answer your question, Silsbee has won a state track championship (1988). A 1 point football win coupled with splitting 4 games in baseball while getting completely blown out in basketball, I guess one could say that is close. I am just saying it is not typical for BC to play Silsbee close in football and basketball.

Didn't know REBgp was talking about state championships. Thought he was talking about how typically games are close when BC and Silsbee play each other in sports, not just baseball. That is what I was commenting on.
