They beat Orangefield for the first time in 9 years. That being said, HJ is still the team to beat and I don't see anyone coming close. I am from Orangefield but I am realistic to know that HJ is on top and everyone else is fighting for second. I don't know why people make a big deal about Buna moving to 3A. They have alway been in 3A except for the few years in 2A. Their numbers are right up there with OF, HJ and HF. Nobody doubts that Buna has a solid team.

Usedtobe is not responding to anything you said. I am happy for Buna, they were down for a while and now doing well. That being said, the jump from 2A to 3A in girls basketball is not a big jump. If we was talking football I would say yes but not in girl sports.

I agree Buna is good so don't take this post the wrong way. Lumberton was playing good ball but they seem to have lost focus and is sliding in the wrong direction.

I don't have a problem with coach Jacks. We need more coaches like him. The problem with this world today is kids are not made accountable for their actions. Just think most coaches 30 years ago could not coach in this day and time. I would not have a problem with my kid playing for coach Jacks and I don't even know the man. Kids need to learn that life is not fair sometimes, that you are not given something for nothing and hard work is how you obtain a goal or strive to get better. I applaud this man. If you can't take the heat get out of the kitchen.

Ozen beat Orangefield, don't know the final but Ozen was up by 40 at the end of the 3rd.
