Not understanding the concept of something doesn't mean it's terrible. If you were at the spring game, both tailbacks had 100+ yds and the fullbacks had good yardage as well. Running the ball helps establish the pass. Ask Madden! Lol

It's a Spring Game & you are not going to see all that in 9 practice days before a scrimmage. Boyd may not be the greatest of passers and a good running game will help that tremendously. Running is his best attribute, QB's with good QB training & coaches for reads & footwork generally make the spread offense look easier. There's nothing wrong with old school, the new generation is always in a hurry and can't appreciate the subtle things in life. They both gained 100+ on a divided defense and had big plays which is commen when you have your best 22 divided. Trust me on this one, Ozen style of offense will be beneficial to their success moving forward! ;)

imploding of a school district to me is a total dismantlement because of wrongdoing in which the district no longer exists, last time I checked BISD is still running, dont know how that ties into a coaching hire. As far as attention goes I think Beaumont will be getting alot more attention than Vidor this upcoming football season.

I'll be the 1st to predict Ozen's Sr. to be RB (Rodney Randle) & Soph. to be RB (Calvin Tyler.) Both are very fast and elusive with good vision, and with a fullback in front of them & a perdominantly run offense, barring injury, should both have 1,000 yd seasons! What other schools do you feel may possibly reach this feat?

I agree with P.A. having Dauphne & Martin they should be special.

Finally someone who is positive with uplifting words and senserity of well wishes to a community based school that seemingly had personal, malicious attacks on its very existence. Most with clear visuals can see everything you aforemetoned is probably correct and too the point! You can have hundreds of players with no unity & no disipline and all you have is football players. I prefer the team building & team concept theory! Our young Panthers have been through a lot and I will defend them and support them through the ups & downs! Blue & Gold Ride or Die Guy!

I always said that Ozen needed to get under center with a fullback & tightend package, also multiple offensive formations. I see Suggs has brought this to Ozen and he has placed his kids in positions that they can excel in and he is personally excited about all the talent he has at his disposal. He is a disciplinarian, a thinker and plans well, which will equal future success. Yes the Suggs era will officially be here tonight as their spring game showcases the basics they've put in, in this short period of time. Panther Pride Will Never Die!

Not a Football topic but: Shout-out to two former Ozen track & field standouts on their teams winning the outdoor T&F Big 12 Championships this week! Nekia Jones (Texas/women) & Joseph Richards (Texas Tech/men), good job to both of you! You help make your schools & community proud!

Remember, French & BCP made Central with one move. Hebert & Forest Park made Wesbrook with one move. Ozen is practically establishing it's self trying to find an identity. The first groups to attend there are just now having kids that are age 14 to attend there that can finally say, my mom, my dad or my aunt & uncle went here. This makes a big difference in establishing Pride & Tradition, starting from scratch is a much more difficult task in my opinion.

Ask Mrs. Lamebut oh, Mrs. Lambert about how many coaches she has BISD paying. I heard she helped hire Magee for Ozen, leaving us with hunting for a new coach and someone's mistake in hiring a coach to pay for a years worth of no labor! Dang!

Nope, you're buddy Rick specializes in that! They have my boys playing QB/WR/CB & one playing TB/OLB! Footwork drills, stance/balance, vision, throwing, receiving, tackling, coverage & blocking drills for us! Of course weights & conditioning! I think this offense Suggs has will teach the linemen to be more physical and should benefit the multitude of talent Ozen has. Don't be surprised if you see that multiple offense I've been talking about! PANTHER PRIDE WILL NEVER DIE! ;)

I think your right! The adults create more division then the kids do between schools.... All of these kids are friends, They all play 7 on 7 on weekends, and I have personally seen them helping each other no matter what school they go to.....My point is....its not about what people say or think about your boy around Beaumont, it's about what recruiters see in him ......and I don't think there are many recruiters on this site..... But good luck to your boy! I wanna see them all go to school !.......Now the second half of your post went over my head .....not familiar with that... But Tell D to keep grinding!

Wow, now that's some real **it!

Well you can catch us at the Butch for the West Brook game, But I'll be there on the 29th of this month watching dose Panthers, but if you can't wait drive by Central from 330pm -6pm any day,( everyday is spring) you can catch maybe 90 of the players working out.  

Dang, I wanted to see those 2014 Spring District Champs! I heard they are loaded like a bake potato! I guess they are taking a page out of the Bulldogs spring play book, some may say, invisible spring games. Hmm

Hey I bought Magee and the last hire Atkins a new car & a house and my kids are still on the bench! Lol

Seriously, I believe in the work for what you want theory and handouts only hinder you in the long run. Talking to coaches to establish a relationship of communication is one thing but playing time should come from one's work ethic and ability to execute what the coach has in mind for you to do. Some coaches are not fair at times but heck, this is America and this teaches kids an important lesson as well. Just because you deserve it, doesn't mean you will receive it! ;)

Most kids with size and skills often get the first seat at the dinner table but that doesn't mean when the meal is served that they will eat more! :D Wishing everyone well throughout this process.
