Keep in mind Kam was also a big Longhorn fan. Pretty sure he has a burnt orange room and UT stuff on the walks, or he used to.

None of the four offensive finalists were head and heels above the other. Jacquet was well-deserving of the award. Congrats to him and his family!

Kam tweeted the news earlier today! Congrats to this young man! Cousin of the greatest RB to ever come out of SETX, Jamaal Charles.

I met a scout at the state game from Baylor who was very interested in him as well. Had a pretty lengthy discussion about him.

You just supported my statement. Colmesneil (a 2A school with low football participation), falls under this category.

Baylor will be the first of many to come after his performance at this event. I'm sure he opened some eyes. He's a hell of a player and has potential busting out of the roof. He has probably the highest ceiling of any local prospect for 2016.

But as to the original topic...
Kids in the sixth grade are not developed enough to even paint a decent picture of how well they'll develop into high school. It's almost pointless to monitor kids in sixth grade. 9th grade is a good starting point.

There are several who allow sixth graders to play. Only local one I can think of is Colmesneil. They have a Middle School team. 6th, 7th, and 8th graders play. I know this because when my brother played peewee football, the kids from Colmesneil would come play in Woodville until the 6th grade, when they started junior high ball.

Thank you sir! It just makes too much sense. I know Coach Woodard and the type of offense he likes to run. Morse fits the bill perfectly. He is a strong, accurate passer, highly intelligent, makes good decisions, and is mobile enough to run when he has to. Plus I may have had a little birdy close to the situation who told me this was coming ;)

He does seem like a really good kid that was under alot of pressure. I think ultimately his brother committing to Texas was the deciding factor between the two for him.

I haven't read either of those rumors anywhere. And I've been dang near obsessed with this the past couple of weeks. Lol I highly doubt Boyd is wavering though. His brother committed for 2016 the same day.

eagleswoodville#1 reacted to Scatright in 2015 Lamar recruits
Ever think that maybe Lamar didn't have a need at the position your son plays? Maybe McNeese had a need there.  That would explain the disparity in the times they visited.  Also, different coaches judge talent differently.  Maybe Lamar didn't find your son as talented at McNeese did.  Lots of variables. "Lamar doesn't recruit locally" isn't one of them.

Thompson is a slam dunk on defense. Anything else is a snub.
