Do you really think 24-2A is a powerhouse district? Newton 42 Buna 14

I am glad Buna is having an up year, I truly am. We all know how this one is going to turn out though. Buna's best year ever is a mediocre year in Newton. Those coogs sure can play some basketball though!

Splendora...Cleveland....Coldspring? I am not even going to vote! Is'nt there like a "not so SETXsports.com" that poll can be taken on?

If Kirbyville turns in 2A numbers I dont see how they couldnt be in the same district due to proximity. If that were to happen I can see it being much easier for Kirbyville to make the playoffs but that district title would be just as elusive as it is with WOS and just like old times against Newton. :-)

I say let Woodville win...Newton will still be district champs and they go the small school bracket if and only if Woodville makes the playoffs. Of course I am just kidding around but I do want Woodville to make it for that reason.

LOL, this is very interesting. I support Kirbyville just like I support all area teams when they face competition from other areas. I wish them well vs. Sweeney. Reality, I watched Kirbyville play this year vs. Jasper. I don't want to be negative but I saw a gimmick offense and a porous defense....I don't really understand how they made it this far. I don't know anything about Sweeney but if they dont stop Kville then it will almost surely come the next week(Liberty Hill/Crockett winner). Lord help them if they have to play the winner of WOS and Giddings. Thats my opinion, I hope I am wrong....maybe I got a bad look at them.
