Thats because 24-2A is a powerhouse conference....we discussed that in another thread. I bet a 24-2A all star team would have 9 of 11 starters from EC. ;D I would even go so far as to say that Newton could probably beat that all star team too. Although it would be a good game since it would be made up mostly of EC Bucs.

See, I thought all Kirbyville was with Newton on this one. Thats ok, I am still pulling for the Wildcats.

I dont know what your talking about. Myself and a few others from Newton are always pulling for you Bucs. I think your the best that district has to offer by far and enjoyed the competition the short time we shared a district. Class act in EC and always pulling for you....until you start making up stuff, then I pull for everyone from EC except you ;D

Interesting.... I remember the Enterprise being a good read back then. Saturday morning was full of HS Football info and a joy to read that everyone looked forward to. I remember Kenton Brooks too.....seemed like he followed Newton during the 98 State run. Put the Silsbee paper online and I will read it.

I no longer live in the area and try to keep up on the Enterprise website. If you think the printed paper is a joke try the online version...it is a rag of the rag. As for the paper version....my dad cancelled it after 20 years of getting it. Just not worth it. Hey....I will come write for you Enterprise! Show me the money!

LOL Appalachian State is a team made up of several high schools best football players....as is Michigan. Buna squeeked in the playoffs and is made up of basketball players! For those that warn Newton to not take the cougars lightly....they wont. They will treat them like a playoff team and dispose of them with surgical precision. I am just trying to stir you guys....good luck to both teams...truly. And congrats Buna.

Why in the world are they playing on a Thursday. I heard something about Buna wanting to play on turf and that was the only way they were going to be able to....if that is true then someone please explain.
