All of this PNG talk on this thread but no mention on how good their basketball team is ??

Nothing is official yet, it will probably be announced at the board meeting tonight.

The decision during the bond process was made to replace the high school vs replacing all 4 elementaries. I don't necessarily agree with that , but its done so lets move on. The upgrades on the elementary schools look pretty good as well and are designed to last for years even if the rest of the school is replaced. Which is why they are separate from the older parts of the schools.

Play the teams they put in front of you, only way to succeed.

Neumann has only been a head coach at Nederland, he was an assistant at several other schools. He brought Ned back to the playoffs the first year he was there , missed the playoffs 2 years and then rattled off 11 straight appearances. And PNG was glad to see him go.

This is the first time that Ned and PNG have been in Region 2 that I can remember, I could be wrong though.

Lots of travel in their future. I guess the UIL didn't want a three-peat rematch in the 5A-D2 championships.
