Them "local world beaters in their own mind from SC" will not get out the 1st round of the playoffs for the foreseeable future (including this yr along with the 2 yrs after re-alignment) ;) [/quote] Those 1st and 2nd rounds are just as much about the luck of the draw as skill.  Had Ned or any other team in GT's path got GT 1st ...they're one and done.  Had Vidor lined up with a team like Tomball, Livingston, or a few others, they're onto the 2nd round.  Had Vidor got Ned in the 2nd round, its a toss up.  Vidor played those guys close and anything could happen in a rematch.  Ned could have been gone in round one or two ...but they drew favorable opponents.  SC could have been on to round three had they lined up against Angleton or Ned in the 2nd round. I'm still not sold on the realignment.  It will amaze me to see SC get anywhere near 3,000 kids any time soon.  Just don't see it.  Humble/Atascocita WAS booming, but this has slowed down.  Another big community needs to pop up or some AHS kids will need to get zoned to AHS AND they'll have to actually attend SC. A lot of coaching consistency in those top 5 teams.  I know Lake Travis is a fairly young school but I think they are still on their first AD.  I know the Katy AD has been there a long time, NS's HD has been there 18 years and Brenham's has been there at least 10.
