I always wondered if you could
where would you build it?
By the high school probably.
I think the guidelines for donations of that type is that if you do something for one of the boys programs you have to do something for the girls programs also...
You could always build a new softball field.

But Ned will be in trouble facing the in the last game because if this will jell it should be by then. So I predict them being 9-1.
By week 10 Ned will be jelled and be going into playoff mode. Also with the better coaching, and winning attitudes, Ned will be very tough for Central in week 10. Probably harder than PAM because they'll have no film on the new Jags, by week 10 Ned will know the in's and out's of Central.
Everything you said could be right, but then again I know Ned has good coaching but so does Central now. With everyone thinking Ned will just have a cake walk to be DC, I don't think so, this will be the game to be at on that night. If we are not playing for a playoff spot that night, you can bet I'll be there. Good luck to Ned as well ;D
No one at Nederland is thinking it will be a cakewalk. Not in this district. -
What class are they and has anyone around here played them before? How does Vidor come up with these odd preseason games? lol Vidor wins against the mystery team. ;)
Vidor played them last year as well. Score was 41-0 Vidor. They are 4A in the district with Friendswood, TC and GCM.
How much can you tell us about Santa Fe?? How good are they?? What they have coming back. Stuff like that.
They were 0 fer last year. The only game that they played close was against Galveston Ball. 21-13.

Everyday was my last day but I kept showing up each day. I know its hot out there and with all the heat related problems we have seen recently I understand. I dont know how we older guys made it through those practices.
The wife and I were talking about that. Kids are softer , IMO. We didn't have a bunch of heat related issues that I can remember. Just toughed it out and drank plenty of water! If i remember correctly we couldn't even go get water when we wanted, had to wait for the coach to blow the whistle.
don't know bout yall but when I was a kid we were outside all day anyway.. we were already used to the heat.. and drank from the waterhose... I played softball.. we were always practicing and when we weren't we were playing games twice a week. And on Saturdays in the heat of the day.
same here.

I don't have much info on them. What do they have returning? -
The other thread was lost, so I'm reposting. Photos of the procession today. [Hidden Content]

You pretty much covered it, just wanted to add that snapshots of the entire VM can be taken to restore the server quickly.

There is plenty of people and tax revenue moving into the district. In my neighborhood there were about 20 houses in our edition when i moved there a year and a couple of months ago. Now there are at least 80-90 houses that have been built, and about 30 more going up now. That's one side of one edition. Not to mention Falcon , Firethorne and some of the others that are blowing up right now. As far as SC averaging 10,000 per home game, I seriously doubt that.
-
True, but building out just one as a stadium for the south end high schools would not cost as much. A couple of them already have a pretty good set of stands on one side. They would have to build visitor's stands, a press box and restrooms and maybe one or two concession stands and that's it.
Rendering shows a nice stadium, but not as nice as TURNER. Katy should take a page from Humble and do a major renovation of Rhodes a.k.a. "the dump." Better yet, build a new stadium, one that is truly befitting of a perennial State Championship program. No reason why Katy shouldn't have a stadium every bit as nice as Allen. The money is there ...Katy should spend it. The Tigers have earned the respect of a top notch facility.
If you want to pay my taxes, PM me your address and I will send you the bill. ::) I don't disagree that they need a new stadium, but they could have built an replacement and expanded one of the stadiums at the other schools. Cinco Ranch, Taylor and Seven Lakes all have nice practice fields, they could expand parking and add some stands for those teams.
-
Maybe I'm missing the point, but most schools send coaches to scout teams anyway. How would an outside "football analyst" help? I would say the coaches are more than qualified and if there not, send a different coach or hire one.
-
So I guess they are not replacing Rhodes. I would have put the other stadium somewhere south of I-10 right off of 99.
nope, first i heard of it, and I have neighbors that work for KISD.
Great that they have a new stadium. A lot of followings throughout the District not only Katy. Scheduling nightmare could happen with them being that close. Games the same night. Do they start at the same time or do they start one at one time and the other later. Traffic nightmare.
I work a block away from Rhodes, they are expanding Katyland to 4 lanes and putting lights on Katy-Fort Bend. Also, once 99 is done people can exit onto Franz and go that way.

Need to check their facts. SC did not lose to the state champs. Georgetown lost in the finals. -
I agree. Pretty mature thought process for someone who is 17-18 years old.

We just recently moved into Port Neches but not being a fan of either and was left with that exact decision to make. After getting know both fan bases, and having to come up with decison on which one to support and what games we will be going to this year the decision was very easy.......Sabine Pass!!!!
LOL
