1. My previews are posted at... [Hidden Content] Directions to Thorne Stadium and Galena Park ISD stadium are below the picture montage on the right. GOOD LUCK TO THE BULLDOGS, PIRATES, PANTHERS, AND BRONCOS! Hopefully we can knock out some 17-4A teams.  Got a good feeling on three of the games, still getting my mojo down for the fourth.  Predictions will be posted Thursday morning. Pirate fans and Panther fans.... You will need to go around BWY 8 to get to Thorne Stadium.  BWY 8 is now EZTAG only from HWY 90 to HWY 59.  To get to the stadium you will need to stay on the feeder road which will take about 10 to 15 minutes longer. They just opened up an EZ Tag store on the feeder road by West Lake Houston Parkway.  You will pass the store up on your way to the game.  If you want more information about getting an EZTAG, let me know and I will post information on my website.
thanks for the compass direction edit.  Good luck to the Cubs this week.

Sure wish I could have been there. Oh well, I'll have to settle for your highlight reel. We really need to get to work on that full game video/broadcast idea we talked about for next season!
On veterans day I usually read some stories to my students.  This Friday I did that and my voice wasn't all there, Friday evening my voice just isn't right.  Hasn't gotten better.  Hopefully tomorrow night I can do the voice over video for the last two games. There are about 20 highlights from the PN-G game on youtube.
Ask  Mrs Toups to do them
Mrs. Toups does not have the voice dynamics of Mr. Toups.  Before CHRISTmas holidays I read the Grinch to my students (but I read it with MORE POWER!  I have it memorized).  I can do the whole Grinch word for word, song for song following the Boris Karlov animated version.  I change my voice to Cindy Lou Who to the Grinch, to the Narrator, and even sing the Who CHRISTmas song.  Takes about 15 minutes.  Hopefully my voice is back tomorrow.
I video from ground level and I am always at the endzone that Dayton is going to.  In the voice over video, I will put the PN-G TD's on it, but they are running away from the ground level camera.  I am only one guy, and it isn't practical to edit two game videos (one is plenty enough).  I do try to do justice to the plays of the opposing team.  The catches by #4 were AWEsome!  Hopefully my voice will get better quickly.  It's pretty scratchy now.

 7. As a PN-G grad, nothing brings back the amazing memories I have of being a student there than Cherokee. Here is a neat angle of the Marching I from the endzone. [Hidden Content] I was so lucky that I was in 2nd to 5th grade from 74 to 77 (the magical playoff runs for PN-G).  It was a magical time in my life.  Now I get to watch kids that I taught from Dayton make the same memories I had.  It is a pretty neat cycle.
 8. Here is a link to the play of the game.  Dayton's first TD pass right at the video man. [Hidden Content]
 9. [img][Hidden Content]] I had a lot of fun with my BELIEVE sign after the game.
 10. [img][Hidden Content]] Who are these two men showing off bragging rights for Carranco!
 11. [img][Hidden Content]] This was the 39 yard field goal into the wind.  RIGHT DOWN THE MIDDLE
 12. Here are some of the images (pulled of a camcorder) from last night.  As a PN-G grad, this was an amazing team.  Two evenly balanced teams going down to the last posession.  When they do the realignment, I sure do hope Dayton replaces Livingston and goes back to 20-4A.  Nothing beats a road trip to any of the 20-4A teams.  Sure beats going to CE King or Galena Park and playing in front of about 42 people.  Anyways... The images... [img][Hidden Content]] This is the still from Dayton's first TD pass.  Amazing catch by Chambers.  Will post the highlight soon.
 13. Will a student in Barbers Hill ever see the Eagles win a playoff game. Come to think of it... Where are all the BH posters??? We might need to set up a BRONCO ticket stand at the Mont Belvieu DQ. Word is, next year, the 54 cent Blizzard might make a return.
 14. My website was updated this morning. Later this afternoon I will be posting directions to the stadiums. The POWER RANKINGS are updated also.  I am sure BHFAN can't wait to see where the Eagles ended up. [Hidden Content] Highlights to the PN-G Dayton game are being uploaded. Here  is the probable play of the game [Hidden Content] Click on the Toups Graphics Channel to see the first half highlights.  I am about to start uploading the 3rd quarter highlights.  THANK GOODNESS I FINALLY HAVE SOME DEFENSIVE HIGHLIGHTS!
Please.....without that kicker last night - you'd be sitting down to urinate this morning in a stall with walls scratching your head trying to figure out how you were gonna explain to your friends why you weren't playing next week.
I know 20-4A fans would never want Dayton to post scores of 20-4A vs Dayton over the last 6 years.  MAJOR EMARASSMENT for the triangle.

Don't know what happened, but if the Dayton front seven plays a game like it did last night, we win it.  This will be the first game video that I get a lot of defensive highlights.  We had about half a dozen QB sacks and several takcles on the PN-G running back for negative yardage.  PN-G really hammered the secondary in the first half, but after PN-G's 3rd quarter TD, the Broncos shut out a very good team. Can't wait to edit the video, unfortunately, my voice is out of whack, and I won't be able to do the voice over video today.
The main point is no one has held Bertrand like Dayton did last night on the run. Nederland came close, but did not stop Bertrand like Dayton. Luckily we had the pass, but Daytons adjustments and some supect play calling kept us out of the endzone. If Dayton can play the run like last night then they should have a chance...
Again, Richards is a more talented HB than Bertrand.  He's excellent at catching passes out of the backfield, and has great vision and speed.  The MW passing game ain't bad either.  Dayton will be in for another close one.  I say the teams are about even, but when I feel this way, I usually go with the more experienced team.  In this case, it's the Broncos.  Still pulling for 17-4A though! Dayton          31 Magnolia West 28 BTW, when & where is this one?
How would you compare the PN-G offensive line to MW offensive line?
 18. The real difference in the game... [img][Hidden Content]] THE BRONCOS KNOW HOW TO ALWAYS BELIEVE!!! What a night to be a Bronco fan!!!
 19. Barbers Hill 2nd round opponent is buying a ticket to watch DAYTON play, nothing has changed.  Life has returned to normal.  That 31 to 24 victory in September and the district trophy really don't mean all that much now for the Eagles.  The delusions of grandeur are still alive and well On top of the place we call the ant hill.
