The Lady Eagles had terrible first half offensively, but picked it up in the second half.  Final 56-24 Woodville

yeah Hudson beat Huntington by 15, Woodville was open last night. Not sure where the game info came from.  District has started now.

Woodville lost to Kirbyville by 5 the second time they played them, don't know if it helps.

Woodville lost 50-51 in double overtime to Woden.  Missed two free throws in the second overtime that were crucial.  It was a good preview of things to come.  However Central Heights is the team to beat in that district, and let's not forget the other teams who will bring their A game every night.  It was a good showing for the LE and despite their pre-season record, they are battled tested going into district.

think the pools were a little lopsided on this one? Every team from pool A beat pool by 30 plus points.

Crockett vs Slocum in the finals, Slocum vs Zavalla for 3rd.  If Woodville beats Cushing this morning and Woden beats Brookeland, than the two will meet up at 4:00 for the 5th place game.

It wasn't wrong.  The LE actually played Crockett really tough.  They were only down 10 midway through the 3rd before Crockett pulled away.  Crockett is 18-0, and beat Broaddus later on yesterday by 30 plus.

Last I heard they were up 30 or so in the 3rd quarter.

Woodville won 38-36.  They made some good adjustments at the half and shut down Lovelady's 2 scorers.  Now they face #2 Crockett tomorrow at noon.  Broaddus beat Hudson 44-42, Zavalla over Central big.  Slocum beat Nacogdoches.

bbscout or is it Buchana?  Either way, the Lady Eagles are playing better basketball than they were earlier and will continue to get better, you can count on that.  They will also be in the Zavalla tourn again this yr. and prob wont win it either, however it will make them better and prepare them for a district that is much tougher than it was last yr.

I know Woodville led early and the game was close through out, but New Waverly banked in a 3pter w/ about a min. left and then Woodville fouled, to stop clock and Waverly hit the free  throws.  Final 47-42. NWaverly

Woodville is gonna be raw still as Im sure the girls are still trying to spike the ball, not sure what Kville has this yr.
