I'd rather a deep playoff run (like Ozen's run last year) vs. a petty state ranking or a district win  to a crosstown rival.  C'mon, man.  You're killin' me.

Ozensfinest, you'll have to grasp ahold to the fact that Ozen is just young this year and are not as task as teams past. They'll be ok when district starts and will be ready to make a deep run stop being so bitter.

It's that what happened to your Bulldogs when they lost to this Central team?  Did your Dogs get shafted?

Everyone will have their opinion of the officiating.  The discrepancy in calls going Central's was was the inability of Madison to keep Pearson and the other Central guards out of the paint.  They were committing fouls and were called for it.  They committed more fouls.  Plain and simple.

Our 'players' really impressed me this weekend.  Our coaching was a little better, but at not where it should be, but let's wait and see.

[/quote] Why are you wanting so bad to compare Boutte to Seveat?  There's no comparison.  A lot of good coaches in the are now don't compare to him.  I know all about Ozen's standards.  It's a change in the times.  Be happy with their current success.  They made an impressive push, even farther than Central and Nederland.  Take that for what it's worth.

Also, Ozen isn't getting ALL of Beaumont's talents anymore.  It's a change in the times, man.  The talent is evenly distributed now.  Green and Zeno at West Brook and the young guns at Central.  Now to think about it, where is y'all's young gun, Boyd?

For whatever reason you don't want to give Ned any credit, and it's getting old. I think what we are finding out is that about 7/8 area teams can pretty much beat each other on any given night. There is a lot of talent in the area, and there is not ONE distinct dominant team in SETX this year, yet. We need to keep an eye on #3 for Madison.  He's on fire from 3 point land.  We also need to fire up some 3's
