First half thoughts. I thought we needed to pass to open up the run and we did. Also, after giving up multiple big plays to this team early, I’m glad our defense have settled down and are making tackles. Hold tough. Score often and let’s finish this team off.

I’m confused. So the ‘lol’. Are you taking pleasure that NS isn’t good this year, or are you trying to insinuate that the reason NS is down is because the kids that you’ve coached is no longer in the program?

It will get better, but playing PNG at the Rez so early in the season does not favor us.

BU has a new coach for whatever that’s worth. We are better on defense this year. But offensive play calling concerns me…

Nah, contrary to the asinine’s belief, awesome talent continues to exist in Beaumont.

Maybe all that ‘area talent’ has went to Galena Park High school. 🤷🏾‍♂️

Couple of things of note. Defense, especially against the run, is stout this year. Secondary had a few miscues, namely from the one Sr. CB that got burnt a few times. I think he made up for it with the game sealing interception though. Our passing game needs serious work. We have guys that can catch and we have probably the best WR in the district but we have subpar qb plan and subpar plays called in passing situations. Well, we have 3 more games to fix this issue. Let’s see if this coaching staff will figure it out. I was really impressed with our running game. #1 and #22 will be huge this year. Finally, on special teams, we need help in the kicking game. The kid that’s kicking extra points will need some serious work. Other than that, it was good to see a win on the road and with horrible refing. Look forward to checking the Wolves out next week.
