Raiders94 reacted to L-Train11 in LUMBERTON @ LCM
And there’s nothing wrong with speaking the truth and saying something negative about coaching because they are human and will mess up, but whenever you create an account just for that reason.... that’s the issue I have with hater 23

Every year we have at least one hater that can't stand either the team, the town or the coach. Your wasting electricity even turning your computer on coach. Hell with only 22 coaches around you can still only manage 23rd.

Raiders94 reacted to raideroldtimer in 4a d1 playoffs line up
I expect L-Town to be the #1 seed first of all. The LCM game will be good but Lumberton will take that one. One game at a time, beat Splendora first.

Raiders94 reacted to livefor2day in Splendora @ Lumberton / District title on line for both teams
If their BIG #23 runs the ball like they say he can and if he comes off the edge like they say he can on defense then Splendora might have problems. I think Splendora has a BIG boy also that can play. WHO IS BETTER FOR THOSE WHO HAVE WATCHED?

Raiders94 reacted to SmashMouth in Splendora @ Lumberton / District title on line for both teams
They're both pretty equally matched. Lumberton's Big #23 might have the advantage over Splendora's Big #41, but they are VERY similar. Both are full time DE's on Defense. Both split time in the backfield with other running backs. Splendora's kid gets thrown swing and flat passes too (that's how it was when I watched them play LC-M at least) whereas Lumberton's boy is more downhill and in your face - he takes some snaps in a Wildcat situation too. It seems that the kid from Splendora gets more time on offense than the kid from Lumberton. That may just be my assumption based on the few times I have seen either team play.

I'm so ready for tomorrow night, they are expecting a FULL Lumberton side. Whole town knows it's a huge game plus Senior night! Also Raider fans if you haven't seen on Facebook playoff shirts go on sale at the game tomorrow night!

A prediction that close could go either way

He's gotta be a dad upset about son being done wrong, in his mind. I don't know any other reason for someone to be that bitter and ugly during a winning season. Can't please em all

Raiders94 reacted to Guitar Man in Splendora @ Lumberton / District title on line for both teams
I can't wait for Friday night. Regardless of what is said or what you all think, this game is BIG and has HUGE implications. I think both teams will show up ready to play and it will be one the better games to be at on Friday night! The team with the highest rushing yards versus the number 1 run defense team, it will be a fight and I predict a close a game with the Raiders getting the victory.

Raiders94 reacted to VP93.... in Splendora @ Lumberton / District title on line for both teams
Your right! Move on now, we get it!
BTW, Im no homer! Just hate grown a$$ men/women getting on here talking trash about 15,16,17,18 year old kids like it’s their fault who they play and what district they are in and how they play!! Guess you were some stud football player back in your days... Lol doubt it. Let me remind you yes you have bashed Lumberton kids
“260 lb running back? C'mon man. Oh..you mean the DE that comes in a runs the ball. Think he's a RB. Run over people? Seen him get stuffed plenty of times and take several plays off on defense. Keep tooting your boy's horn...”

VP93 I’m on your side. But coach23 makes some honest points. Is Lumberton in a weak district? Yes. But so what! Look at University of Alabama’s schedule. They won’t get their first real test until this weekend’s LSU game. They’re still ranked no. 1 all year. And they deserve it. Lumberton has had some good years, and a lot of not so good years. Let the moms, dads, student players, coaches, etc. toot there own horns. It’s fun. It’s exciting! It’s the reason some of these athletes (kids) even go to school! And they deserve it! Coach23, I’m a realist. Sometimes it gets under my skin to hear all the hoopla, hand clapping and high 5’s over something you might consider average at best. But who cares! Nobody said Lumberton was going to state, did they? Let em have their moment to shine. A lot of those kids will never play football again after this season. I’m proud and happy for every student athlete that ever walks into the arena...that puts in the effort and enjoys every win or hopefully learns from every defeat. They are KIDS. Let them shine.
(Man, I may run for office after that speech.)

Raiders94 reacted to Lions Pride 2021 in Livingston @ Bridge City
Bridge City isn't much better than Livingston. Maybe a TD better. But not 3.
And technically, not realistically, but technically, Livingston still has a shot at the playoffs if the win out and LC-M beats Hargrave. Again, highly unlikely, but technically possible.
So this could be a trap for the Cardinals. I hope so because otherwise the Lions will go into 2019 on a 20+ game losing streak. Heck it may be 20 now. The last team we beat doesn't even exist anymore. RIP Ozen.
Let me quit drinking. It's giving me irrational thoughts.

Earl Campbell probably got stuffed sometimes too. Don’t mean he wasn’t a running back...

Not tooting any horn. He does take a play off here and there, you would too if you played both ways and weighed that much. I know I would. And yes his primary position is D-Line, but he has had 9 offensive Td's and 1 defensive Td.

Splendora just seems to have the more complete team. Feel like offensively they have more weapons, and Lumberton is just one dimensional.

That was really unnecessary. There are some of those kind of those people that you describe there. Just some, not most. I'm pretty sure that NON of those kids are like that. Ran across several of those kids over the years. They are respectful kids. So for the most part, his comments are way outta line.

I’m gonna go out on a limb and say this poor slob did some time in Lumberton’s local jail.

The Williams kid #23 for L-Town is a force on the D-Line. He will wreck havoc in b.c. backfield all game.

Raiders are getting better every week and will be ready when they get to Bridge City on Friday. Offense is starting to gel and the defense has only given up 2 touchdowns and a field goal in the last 6 quarters.
Cardinals showed some spark at times last week against Huffman and they will be hungry in front of their home crowd.
I see a close game in the first half but BC will not have enough in the tank to go 4 quarters with Lumberton.

Raiders94 reacted to raideroldtimer in Livingston @ Lumberton (homecoming)
Raiders just need to keep in mind, the last time we were expecting to beat Livingston we went to their house and lost. Just don't look past these boys because by now they are desperate for a win. Play the game the way we know how.

Raiders94 reacted to 85LHSTAMU89 in 11-4A UNDEFEATED DISTRICT CHAMP
I saw the rusty can you speak of and it did indeed look like the lid was almost off in the first half. However, in the second half, as each minute passed and another play made on both sides of the ball, that lid got a little tighter. By the end, it was screwed down securely and wrapped with duck tape. I heard a few players drove to the Village Creek bridge after the game and tossed it over the side.
As for the questions, I think we answered many. A lot of work still left to do, but we came away from this game with quite a bit to work with. We will improve offensively as we iron the wrinkles from an offense that saw its first live play last night. There is a lot we can do with the simplified version rolled out in this game to make it very effective and efficient. Defensively, we made some adjustments that will translate well to most of what we will see for the rest of district play. We showed we can do some things that will improve our pass defense and are already pretty salty against the run.
Hard work and improvement each week and the Raiders have a real shot to run the table.

Heaven forbid we hurt anyone's feelings!! I will say the same to my kid (which is on the team) when he ain't cutting the mustard...Football is life in my household, but I get that it isn't in other households. Some people just want it more than others. But imagine if all those kids could get on the same page, Huffman could be dangerous..

Wow! Great game. Been in Lumberton 41 years and this is the best adjustments and strongest willed bunch of young men I have seen here. At least 15 plays made on both sides of the ball that were essential to this second half comeback. MVP to the whole team!
