wait and see WOS is going to win tonight
Leger will have three before halftime.
-
In the town of Lumber. I wish the weather were better.
-
Should be a good game. Which one will be 2 and 0 at the end of the night and which one will be 500?
-
Really? ???
LCM by more than five.

This would actually be the standings for 20 4A, not rankings, so far. The point system is 3 points for a win in regulation, 2 points for a win in overtime or a shoot-out, 1 point for a loss in overtime or a shoot-out, and no points for a loss in regulation.

The USMNT will play Denmark Saturday the 20th. Coverage begins at 3:50 on ESPN2. Anyone for wings and footie?

Will Lumberton have their ballas and their band guys for this one?
-
Yea thats the system we used last year... and it kept us out of the playoffs... We had more wins and even ties than Spring... but they went over us just b/c they won both of their shootouts.... its a stupid system if you ask me...
Would you still think it was a stupid system if you had come away with the better half of the stick? There's going to be many, many teams who are very similar in talent who will be vying for those three spots, and there's no room on the schedule for a tie-braker game, so...

District is here!
First big match of the campaign looks to be Lumberton going on the road to Vidor. Remember, the district is using a point system this year that may greatly affect the final standings. Three points will be awarded for a win in regulation. If the game goes past regulation (overtime or shootout) the points will be split with the winner getting 2 points and the loser getting 1.
-
some teams just choose not to play in it
And why is that?
-
I look for West Brook and Kelly to have a really strong showing. Let's hope the weather is nice and no one gets injured!

No offense at all! That's what makes message boards fun. Debatable topics with mature conversation.
I struggled with that pick. And I knew the score from the club game. But club games and games representing your high school don't always end up the same. :?:
Now what about the rest of your picks? You can't just pick mine apart without showing your hand.

The French League 1 has for the past many years been pretty weak. Lille (& Celtic) had the fewest points (9) coming out of the group stage. Who knows what will happen, but the draw could have been much, much worse for Man Utd. They could be Barcelona or Liverpool, one of whom will be eliminated in March.
Arsenal have somewhat of a tough draw with PSV Eindhoven who are currently at the top of the Dutch Eredivisie table. PSV also have young American stud Lee Nguyen on their roster along with Dutch old-timers such as Philip Cocu and Patrick Kluivert.
Here's the UCL front page if you haven't been there yet:

My Red Devils will be facing the Frogs from Lille. Go Man U!
-
Dont think he will be the goalie. They have a returner at goalie.
Wasn't their keeper a Sophomore last year? That kid could fly around the goal.

I agree. Being the "interim" anything is like being engaged. It's just glorrified dating. Unless they want to diminish his power in the players' eyes, they need to remove that label soon.

I love it! This is the guy that I wanted all along. Solid coach. He has the respect of the MLS guys with what he's done at Chivas USA. He's bound to have a good rapport with the younger guys since his son is one of them. He is well aware of the difficulties ahead since the domestic league is not in line with the rest of FIFA. Keep it American! WOW! Now I'm excited.
Match of the day 1/25 - LCM @ Nederland

The only match that pits two unbeatens against each other. Who comes away with the victory? The Battlin' Bears with the unstoppable Leger? Or the inexperienced Bulldogs defending their home field?
