  1. yea and is all because #1 team jaguars started to win and now is the number 1.

Almost all people in here being racist against central and mexican??? just because we proved that we are better players and we tought them a lesson on how to play like a real team well thanks for all your attention and for all the love other teams or showing they just making CENTRAL AND THEIR MEXICAN STYLE SOCCER STRONGER thanks haters.........................6-0

Be careful when you say "Almost all people in here being racist against central and mexican"  I challenge you to find a single post of mine, Newcastle, jsmity, jlamar, sharkfutbol, etc. that is offensive.  Now, I have seen a few.  But I have seen many more who have not.

You guys have a great team and your record proves it.  Please do not let some ignornant few get to you.  When someone wants to hurt another, they usually use the easiest thing they know.  They get classless.  But when you respond to them, you are lowering yourself to their level.  Be proud of your team, but also be humble, please.  I know this board isn't about making friends, but it's not about creating enemies either.  If you find something offensive, let a moderator take care of it.  Otherwise, it gets ugly quickly.  Represent your school and your community in a way that you would be proud of, and don't worry about a few ignorant bolillos.

  2. If you want to find a message board to make personal and racist  attacks at others, this is not the one!  Keep the stuff from getting personal.  If you want to talk about high school soccer, that's great. This was once an awesome board, but it's quickly being tarnished by a handful of kids and thread-jackers.  We all need to grow up a little.

  3. Just wondering... ???

For you hispanic guys who lurk on this forum:  I have a pretty good idea that many of you guys will be rooting for Mexico in Wednesday night's game.  That's fine with me as I cheer for England and France since those countries are a part of my heritage.  But do you root for the US in games not involving Mexico?  If you don't, why is that?  :-\

  4. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/columns/story?id=406719&root=us&cc=5901

Wednesday evening at 8:00 on ESPN2.  This should be a good one since both teams look to have all players at their disposal.  I think Mexico wins this 2-1 or 3-1 with the tricolor   (sp?) trying to make a good first inpression on Hugo Sanchez.

    Predictions:

Borghetti will score at least one off of a restart.  Ball control and hard tackles will frustrate the US.  Ricardo Clark will get carded.  Donovan (if he shows up) will get hacked constantly and whine about it.  Bobby Convey and Clint Dempsey will shine on the outside.

  5. I think it's a little early to put Nederland in the top three since they really only have one quality win against LC-M.  That might be a reputation pick.  It seems pretty obvious who the top two are.  I know Kelly's season will probably have ended by then, but I think it would be awesome if...Lumberton wins district and plays Kelly in a play-off tune-up game on March 23rd.  Let's make it happen!

  6. "Best Player" is always a good topic because it leads to great discusion.  However, some of us on here show a little too much bias and favoritism toward our own teammates or players on our former team.  I think each team has two or three players that bring something essential to their team, and without them, the team would suffer.  Are any of these kids better than the other?  I guess that would be an opinion or popularity contest.  I think anyone who subjects themselves to hours of conditioning and training in what is now called "soccer weather" here in SE Texas should be commended.  That being said, here's what I've observed so far this season...

    Kelly

Matt Kirby - I think plenty has been said about him, but there's no doubt the kid's got skills and speed.

Donnie Corona - Great feet for such a big body

Stockie (sp?) - There are many good keepers in the area, and he's at the/near the top of the list.  Very polished.

    West Brook

Travis Linthicum - Really good.  He's got the ego of a galactico.

Montalbano - Cannon leg.  Short temper.

Pelegi - Solid in the midfield

    Lumberton

Brent Waldrep - I don't know if I've seen anyone have more fun playing soccer.  Talent, charisma, and quickness.

Garza - This guy has got to be one the best athletes in the area.  He has proven that he can walk on a soccer field without much practice and dominate.

#9 I think.  The freshman.  Quick and can play up front or in the back equally well.

    Vidor

Biffle and Greenway - Continue to carry on the winning tradition that last year's seniors created.  Lots of heart.

Keeper - Can't think of his name.  Very athletic.

    LCM

Leger - Very good running at defenders or the goal.  Sometimes their only viable attacking option.

TC - Hard worker in the midfield.

Keeper - I'm bad with names.  Extremely athletic and extremely crazy.

    Nederland

Ryan Clarke - Hard working leader in the midfield.  Sets great example for a very young team.

Ryan Washburn - Very calm but tenacious in the back.

    PNG

Bryce Talent - I think he's still waiting to see if he might be able to play the second half of the season.  I haven't seen anyone work harder.  Can defend.  Can score.  Can set up attack.  One of the best flank players I have seen in a long time.

Matt Parks - He has really stepped into the leader role since Bryce has been missing.

    Silsbee

I don't know his name, but the tall forward over there could start at any program in this area without a doubt.  He is LEGIT.  There's a center mid over there who is a quality player, too.

I know I've left many off, but these are just a few of the guys who have stood out in my opinion.  The fact that there is a legitimate discussion about 10 to 20 area young men being considered "the best" is awesome.  Ten years ago the list would have significantly dropped off after 5 or 8.

  7. I just re-read what Bon Mot jsut said and iot made me angrier the second time around....I mean where do you get your information. who said we hand pick select players. Please next time you want to say something make sure your facts are straight

I got my information from your coach.  His words:  "I recruit."

  8. Kirby and kelly are not 4a. but we can still hang. i think our population is a little over 400, but we have wins like: Lumberton 5-0, LCM7-0, Nedcerland 3-0. if you consider size, kelly is amazing

Wouldn't you agree that Kelly's ability to recruit all of Beaumont and the surrounding areas somewhat diminishes the fact that their enrollment at the school is so small.  I'm not discrediting the fact that Kelly is by far the best team in the area with the area's strongest player, but using Kelly's enrollment numbers is a moot point when its soccer team is almost hand-picked from Beaumont Select.
