  1. LCM 51, Huffman 62. Bears led by Jesse Doucette with 25, Jackson Smith 10, Brendon Brones 10. Huffman led by Jacob Harvey with 30, Christian Oliphont 11. LCM 1-3 on the year will go to Liberty next Tuesday.
  2. LCM 61, Buna 54. Bears led by Jesse Doucette with 16, Jackson Smith 15, Cole Freeman 13, and Brendon Brones 12. LCM 1-2 on the year will go to Huffman tomorrow.
  3. PNG 55, LCM 50. Jesse Doucette led the way with 15 pts and 11 rebs, Jackson Smith scored 13. Noah Marchak had 17 for PNG. Congrats to Chris Smith on his first win at PNG. Bears will play at Kelly Friday at 6.
  4. I anticipate there being a second team published in the near future.
  5. Braden was an average player on a bad team as a freshmen. Fast forward three years and he's averaging just under 27 points a game...on a team that only averaged 55. He is a prime example of a kid putting in the work and ending up as a really good player. He is committed to Coach Stan Bonewitz at Concordia and should sign soon so we are excited to see what the future holds. As far as not making the Super Gold First Team, the five they chose were all very deserving of the honor. With that said, you could probably pick an entirely different five and they would still be deserving. There a lot of really good players in our area this year. I do think that if you're going to call something the First Team it leads one to believe that there will be a Second Team. Why not just call it the Super Gold Team?

  12. Lost a heartbreaker tonight to West Orange Stark in overtime. Can't be prouder of how our kids played. We're getting better. Doesn't make me feel any better, but we did cover the Aggie spread again. Braden Bridges had 45.
  13. LCM 62, Bridge City 45 Bears led by Braden Bridges with 26 and Jackson Smith with 14. We move to 10-15 on the year, 1-2 in district, and most importantly, 1-0 against the AggiesAreWe spread. We will host West Orange Stark on Friday.
  14. Lumberton 46, LCM 26. We we're out coached, out executed, outplayed, and out toughed. Credit to the Raiders as they clearly deserved the win. With that said, this was a poor effort all the way around and we apologize to anyone who spent their time and money watching us. We will get back to work and will not ever perform like this again.
  15. LCM 68, Tarkington 40 LCM: 14, 22, 12, 20 Tark: 11, 8, 12, 9 Bears led by Braden Bridges with a quiet 29, Jesse Doucette 22, and DJ Williams drew 3 offensive fouls (30 on the year). LCM will play Cleburne and Canyon Lake on December 27 in the Fredericksburg Tournament.
  16. Hj 61, LCM 47 LCM: 11, 8, 19, 9 Hj: 21, 16, 14, 10 Braden Bridges with 23 and Jackson Smith 12. Demetrius Johnson had 20 and Bruce Green scored 18 for hj. Bears host Tarkington for costume night on Friday.
  17. Peabody is a powerhouse every year. They lost in the state finals last year and basically bring everyone back. They won it all the year before. No shame in United losing this one...
  18. LCM 61, Woodville 57. We were slowed by a poor 2nd quarter, but managed to pull it out with good team defense and some timely FT's. Braden Bridges with 41.
  19. LCM falls to Porter by a score of 55-53. Bears led by Braden Bridges with 23 and Jesse Doucette with 18. Porter hit a pull-up with 2 two seconds left and we missed a game winner at the horn. We're getting better, but still a long way to go. Lcm hosts Woodville on Tuesday at 6:30 for Hawaiian Shirt Night.

  21. Lcm 54, Tatum 57 Bridges 22, Smith 15, Doucette 10 Bears blew a 15 at halftime lead and missed a three pointer at the buzzer to tie. Sunrise game at 8 am tomorrow.
  22. Longview Spring Hill 54, LCM 33. Bears led by DJ Williams with 15. Bears move into the Silver Bracket and play Tatum at 4.

  24. LCM 66, New Caney Porter 60 in OT at the Hardin Jefferson Tournament. Bears led by Braden Bridges with 35, Ethan McCollum 10, Jesse Doucette with 9. LCM plays Nederland at 6 tonight.
  25. LCM 63, Jasper 57. LCM: 9, 10, 26, 18 Jasper: 16, 16, 13, 12 Bears led by Braden Bridges with 39. Tee Collins had 27 for the Bulldogs.
