Orangefield 63, LCM 50 Bears led by Ben Elliott with 24, Brendon Brones 13. Bryce Bergeron 26, Pete Ragusa 15 for Orangefield. LCM 9-10 (1-3) will host Silsbee on Friday.

LCM 55, Vidor 50 Bears led by Da'Marion Morris with 16 pts/7 rebs/7 stl/6 assists, Ben Elliott 14, Brendon Brones 12. Bears are 9-9 (1-2) and play at Orangefield on Tuesday.

Wheatley 61, LCM 58. Ben Elliott 24, Da'Marion Morris 20, Brendon Brones 12. Bears are 8-9 and will play Vidor next Friday.

LCM 54, Splendora 50. LCM: 14, 10, 16, 14 S: 11, 16, 8, 15 Bears led by Ben Elliott with 21 and Da'Marion Morris with 13 pts. Brendon Brones had 9 pts and 10 boards. LCM 8-8 (0-2) will host Wheatley Saturday at 1 pm.

East Chambers 65, LCM 49 Ben Elliott 27, Earnest Caesar 36 for East Chambers. Bears fall to 7-8 and will host Splendora on Wednesday.

Jack Yates 111, LCM 78 LCM: 17, 22, 20, 16 Y: 39, 25, 20, 27 Jesse Doucette 24, Ben Elliott 24, Carson Peet 13, Miguel Molina 10/11. Bears fall to 7-7 and will take five days off before playing at East Chambers on Monday. And while this Yates version might not be as talented as some others in the past, they have a good shot at getting out of the region. They knocked down 15 3's today and have size and depth. It was a good experience for us and we appreciate Coach Wise and company's hospitality.

JV will play at 12 and varsity following at 1:30 at Yates HS. No fans...or wolves and sheep.

Huffman 70, LCM 55 Jesse Doucette 20, Ben Elliott 15, Brendon Brones 11. For the Falcons Jacob Harvey scored 32 and Jesse Viramontez 19. Bears fall to 7-6 and play at Jack Yates tomorrow at 1:30.

West Orange Stark 64, LCM 63 Bears led by Jesse Doucette with 35, Ben Elliott 10, and Da'Marion Morris 8. Michael Wardlow with 29 and Darren Anderson with 9 for WOS. LCM falls to 7-5 (0-2) and will host Huffman on Monday at 1 pm.

Lumberton 62, LCM 46. Absolutely outcoached, outplayed, and out toughed. Brock McClure led Lumberton with 35. LCM is now 7-4 (0-1). We play at WOS on Friday.

LCM 66, Central Heights 63 in overtime. Ben Elliott 15, Jesse Doucette 13, Da'Marion Morris 11, including a three at the buzzer to win. Bears now 7-3 on the year and will host Lumberton on Tuesday to start district (costume night).

Tatum 65, LCM 53 Ben Elliott 23, Jesse Doucette 20. Learned some lessons tonight. Bears fall to 6-3 and play at Nacagdoches Central Heights tomorrow at 12.

LCM 75, Jasper 63 Bears led by Ben Elliott with 20, Jesse Doucette 19, Miguel Molina 11/10, Brendon Brones 10. LCM now 6-2 and play at Tatum Friday.

HJ 84, LCM 63 Bears led by Ben Elliott with 30 and Jesse Doucette 18. Bears fall to 5-2 and will travel to Jasper on Tuesday.

Lcm 94, Kountze 39 Ben Elliott 26, Brendon Brones 20/14 rebs, Jesse Doucette 11/8 rebs, Alantheon Winn 11, Cole Freeman 10, Da'Marion Morris 10/12 asst/7 rebs. Bears move to 5-1 and play at HJ tomorrow at 2.

Nederland 46, LCM 42 Jesse Doucette 22, Ben Elliott 9, and excellent defensive performances by Brendon Brones and Da'Marion Morris. Tyler Jackson had 10 and Joseph Gibson 9 for the Dogs. Bears drop to 4-1 and will play at Kountze on Friday.

LCM 63, Buna 62 Bears led by Jesse Doucette with 18, Brendon Brones 18, Cole Freeman 12, Ben Elliott 10. LCM moves to 4-0 and is off for the week. We play at Nederland December 1.

If you get a chance to play the #1 team in the state, you take it. Playing these Silsbee teams the last several years showed us where we stood relative to the elite teams in the state and that's an opportunity we didn't want to pass up. We've also got a home game schedule with Wheatley on January 2. Really excited/hopeful to play this year!

Really sad to see Coach Barstow go. He's a great guy that knows the game and coached with passion and ideals. And definitely a character. He will be missed.
