1. Ok, Soulja.....the streak continues!
 2. I see some positive posts, here, and I like that. I'm still on the fence about it. I would certainly love to see WB become relevant again, in 21-5A. Alot of things will have to change for that to happen. At this point, I'd probably be happy with 7-3, and a playoff appearance. But if the Bruins produce another sub-500 season record, I'd look for some changes at Brook. With the exception of Al Rabb, no other WB coach has survived after 2 losing seasons in a row. Hopefully, things will turn around. I'm praying they do.
 3. Dang, did someone cut up an onion? :'(
 4. Allen will likely win state. Lamar, from what I saw way back in week3, looked beatable then, and I bet Allen hangs it in them. ;D
 5. WOW! I saw Lamar play earlier this year, and I honestly wasn't impressed. They were certainly a beatable team, to me. The fact that they beat NS tells me that maybe they hit on something.
 6. Hoping to see some major improvement from this year's 4-6 squad. I'm optimistic that we'll win more games than we lose......hopefully.
 7. Make no mistake, the kid has some wheels. But, he also has some great blocking in front of him. ;)
 8. Agreed....to all of it. I honestly want, and hope, WB has a better season next year. This year was a disappointment, to say the least. There's alot of thing that go on behind the scenes that we don't see. Hopefully, the talent will return and Flanagan turns things around. That's all.
 9.
Flanagan was successfull in doing something no other WB head coach has ever done, in the schools history. He started his first season with a losing record. Durley went 11-4-1, and won a state title, in his first year. Leo Nolan won 8 games in his first season, as well as Jerry Henschel. Al Rabb was 11-3, and lost in the quarterfinals, in his first year. Stump won 8 games, in a hurricane shortened 2005 season, but advanced to the 3rd round of the playoffs, before bowing out. Going 4-6, in your first year, is definitely not what we have come to expect. Our expectation are, and have always been higher. We wont accept too many seasons like this one. You better get things together, and put a much improved team on the field next year, Coach Flanagan, or you will be shortest tenured coach in WB's history!
Again, at any point did I bash this coach? I don't think so. I was simply comparing the first year under a new HC, to previous HC's. Don't mistake my passion for my school as being hateful towards a person, or coach. Not my intent. Just simply saying that if something doesn't turn around, in a year or two, he may be coaching somewhere else. Maybe I'm wrong for expecting too much.
 10. Sorry if I offended you, but how did I bash this coaching staff? By saying that we, as fans, were unhappy with the outcome of the first season under this regime? At any point in time did I say he was a terrible coach? NO! The whole point of this board is to talk about sports. First of all, I am hard on my team because we have tradition, and that tradition is a winning one. Second, I will be the first one to give our boys, and our coaches, props when they do well. Did you see a WB game this year? My guess is not. So, is it fair of you to call me out for calling it like it is? No. I'm not here to sugar coat anything for anybody. I understand that we had a young team, this year, and I am willing to give this coaching staff another year, or two. But, with the talent roaming the halls at WB, if they can't put a competitive team on the field in 2 or 3 years, wouldn't you agree that something isn't working? Now, maybe I haven't seen everything this coaching staff has to offer, but judging the product that was put on the field, this year, you can understand my/our frustration. I certainly hope next year is an improvement over this year. Believe me, I will be the first to jump on his bandwagon. I realize what he did at Orangefield, and Crosby, but he isn't coaching 3A and 4A football, anymore. This is 5A. There is a difference.
 11.
Highpoints96, the information that you obtained is as wrong as it gets, man.
And this from a Central fan. ;D SMH....armchair quarterbacks. LOL!
 12.
Craig Stumps first year was in 2004, in which he went 2-8. Stump took a year to get it rolling and when he did they rolled. So i'm sure if we check the rest we will see you are wrong about those 82. It totally discredits your validity when you just make stuff up to prove a point. Now nothing you say can be taken serious because you are just lying and trying to make your self look good while talking about some one elses lively hood. Stay classy 82' HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!
Maybe you should delete MAXPreps from your browser, because you just made yourself sound stupid. I know my stuff!
 13.
Well i tried to look it up and it said stump was the coach in 2004, if thats wrong then my bad. I just hate when people try to sit backand act like they know football because they have ESPN and make comments as if coaches will start trying harder because you called them out on this board. Stump was a phenominal coach, and the Bruins were 5-5 last year and lost a kid that went to UT and some other small D2/D3 and JUCO college players. This year they went 4-6, you say that is not what you are used to in a 1st year, but you just went 5-5 in Coach stumps 7th year and he did an amazing job. He probably left for a reason. It's an extremely tough district and in a years time the bruins will most likely be better than they are now.
Just another bit of information that is wrong, from you. WB did not go 5-5, last year, they were 6-4, in the regular season, and lost to Deer Park 31-30, in the Bi-District round. DO NOT try to squabble with me about stats, and the history of WB football. While there are folks on this board that I don't always see eye to eye with, most will tell you I know what I'm talking about. And yes, Stump's first year was 2005. You, and MAX Preps, are both wrong. 2004 was Al Rabb's last year, where yes, they finished 2-8. For the record, this is not Stump's team. This is Flanagan's team. There were only 3 returning starters from last year's squad. And we are not happy with 4-6. We DO expect better of our team. You, should do a better job of checking stats before you get on here and call people out that have been here a LOOOOng time....through thick and thin!

 15. Nice, but ugly win. It's a shame.....no playoffs for WB, this year. First time since 2004, for the Bruins. Thank the Lord this debacle of a season is over!
 16. WB couldn't beat its way out of a wet paper sack. This is embarrassing, and unacceptable!
 17. WB has absolutely no defense, and the offense isn't much better. Congratulations on a fine, first season Coach. You have successfully done what no other coach in WB history has done....finished his first season with an embarrassing losing record.
 18. Not that it matters, at this point, but who's in at QB for Brook?
 19. ....and I would say that I'm looking forward to airing up the basketballs, but our basketball team sucks, too. WB hasn't been competitive in basketball since Chris Coleman was the head coach.
 20.

I'm with Sarge. I think WB has the potential to suprise a few folks, this year. The Bruins are getting very little respect, in the polls, and that's fine with me. That just means folks are overlooking the little school in the West End. When its all said and done, I think WB will be one of those playoff teams from the 215. ;)
uh, no.  ;D
Um, yeah. When I posted that, at the beginning of the season, I was somewhat optimistic about what I thought we would be able to do. But alas, I was wrong. We won't be making any trips to the playoffs, this year. I still haven't decided if the problem has been the fact that we only had 3 returning starters, or a coaching issue. Either way, I would like to take a Mulligan on this season. I will, once again, be pulling for PAM to make another magical run in the playoffs, and finish what you started last year. Good luck the rest of the way, Titans.
 21.

Back to the topic at hand. I voted for PAM, in the poll, not because I've given up on my team, but because I'm a realist. Based on what I've seen out of WB, this year, it ain't gonna happen. Granted, the Bruins are only playing 3 returning starters from last years team, but there have just been entirely too many mistakes, in too many games. The worst part is, they don't seem to be correcting them. Hopefully, I'm wrong, and WB will sneak away with a win, but I think the odds will be in the Titans favor in this one. As I've earlier said, no playoffs for Flanagan in his first year. I certainly hope it gets better for next year.
WB    35 PAM  31 After what i heard I will say that I think flanigan was under estimated in what he was accomplishing so far this year, Ill just say that if WB loses this game then it will be by a small margin but if Flanigan wins then he has pulled out the biggest smoke screens ive seen in high school football. It all comes together against PAM.....if its close than next year they may be ok but If my source is wrong on this than time to start Looking for a new coach
I'm sorry but Brook didn't put up 35 points on NS (ranked 6th at the time) how do you expect them to put up 35 on PAM? Check the bold...you just may want to start looking for a new one because your source is not only WRONG but DEAD WRONG!
You're right. But look at the stats. They are almost identical, except the one that matters most...points scored. It looks to me like WB was able to hang with NS, but had 5 turnovers. THAT was the difference. [Hidden Content]
