I just left the game....and the problem is the 4 WB turnovers in the first half. 2 INT's ant 2 fumbles. Falgout is trying too hard to make something happen on a field where the conditions are BAD at best. The Ozen TD came off of an INT that was returned all the way. WB's defense is what has kept them in the game, because the offense needs alot of work! Do we have an updated score yet? Is the game being broadcast on the radio?

I'm guessing Louis will get the nod.... groom him for next year? Plus, I think Falgout is too valuable on defense! But if Louis goes down with an injury, Falgout has proven he can be a leader and move the ball as QB.

thanks, coop

Do we have a score or highlights yet?

geez if that is true(about lee's rushing defense), then WB should have no problem beating them with their two runnung backs. But still alot of football to play before then....still, should be interesting!:
Central needs to stick to the ground game. Power running game. That's how you will beat Lee. Lee is very light in the pants in the linebacking crew. The two outside linebackers probably average 5'11" 165 pounds.
Ball ran up the middle for 180 yards on the first 15 plays and 2 scores. They were coming back down the field the other way for another score too. The rush defense still worries me for Lee. Of course, I doubt Lee had really worked on what Ball was doing with that down the line option and zone read. Who knows?
Just the facts, three of Lee's starters were not playing. Willis was not in there at cornerback, the linebacker we have that actually has some weight to him was not playing and Michael Mahan was not playing at receiver.
Lee's offense looked tough if you look at it from an unbiased view. Patitan is biased. Jarvis Moore is better than last year. Josh is a great scrambler. He was making the Ball defense(which is very fast) look silly. That's a whole new dimension we have not had. Josh will scramble for many a third down conversion this year. Ball only stopped Lee once all night, the first drive. Josh threw an interception on a great play by a defensive lineman after Lee had driven down to Ball's 10. Going back the other way, Lee moved down inside the 20 only to run out of plays. Next set of plays, Lee drove it right down the field for a td, then the scrimmage was called. Lee gained about 180 yards on their 20 or so plays they ran. Lee's offense is the least of our worries. No one is saying they are going to move 90 yards in 3 plays every time. It's just a functional, tough to stop offense.

WB should take it, but it will be interesting to see how Coach Louis' son does calling the signals. If he get's a handle on the offense and the signal calling, the Bruins could be very tough this year(assuming they can stay healthy).

true, the offensive line definitely has some holes to fill....but there is still a question at quarterback. i heard it will either be david falgout, who will be a senior with probably the best, and most varsity experience....or the son of coach arthur lewis, who will be a junior. my guess is it will be the coach's son, whether or not he is actually the best choice. either way, WB should be a force to be reckoned with! ;DAll depending on the OL...once again were losing to of the best we had..Zoch and Bonura...its gonna be hard...again
but with Stump we will do just fine
-
i thought that also hinged on whether or not atascocita won or lost...congrats anyway bruins!
-
by the way, what is WB's overall record? i know they're 10-2 in district. Jacob Walton has done a pretty good job in his first year as head coach, dont you think?
-
it could be 2-1 for all i care......let's just hope WB wins its first district title in 10 years, tonight.....!( it only takes one to win!!! ) ;D
-
will definitely be interesting to see what SL Carroll does this year without Todd Dodge at the helm. i ceratinly don't expect to see them go undefeated this year or win another state title!
-
uuuhhh, dude....sterling hasn't made the playoffs in like twenty years! maybe you were referring to baytown lee? they only made it to the second round last year!josh wright ran two touchdown runs on baytownsterlings starting varsity defense in a preseason game and baytown sterling went deep in the play offs this year.. his first carry was a 77 yard touchdown run its in the pa news and his second carry was a 15 yard td run. look it up. wrights dad went to lumberton. he was a good tail back back in the day.
-
dang man, you guys from central are just hee-larry-ous! ;Dyou guys do play us pretty good...but, you should expect to see the scoreboard look something like it has the past two years....with WB on top!
-
i would have to give the edge to West Brook at this point....they've got two, 1000 yard RB's coming back, a decent receiver in josh powdrill, and a five returning starters on defense!! it all hinges on what kind of quarterback they've got coming up to call the signals and run the offense!
-
let's just hope that WB will be a little luckier in the injury department this year....the bruins lost to humble and then to channelview as a result of injuries sustained in the PAM game. i believe that if they have a good signal caller, they could be the team that everyone else in the district is measured by!WEST BROOK
Christian Michaels-RB
He is so explosive every time he touches the ball
Albert Williams-RB
He can run over any guy you can throw at him
Robert White-DL
He covers half the feild
Josh Powdrill-WR
He is so quick and has amazingly gifted hands
-
How about Albert Williams and Christian Michael from West Brook? They both had over 1300 yards rushing this season, and they will both be back next season.
-
WB should be pretty good next year as this year's team was a very young team. While we are losing a decent QB in Chaisson, the underclassmen this year got some valuable playoff experience....not to mention we have two running backs returning that both had over 1300 yards. Plus, this year's JV team was district champs(7-3, I think). I believe the groundwork that has been laid the past two seasons will prove to be invaluable in WB eventually getting back to a State Title game. Good Luck next year Bruins.

17-14 Cy Falls 3rd
-
28-17 westlake 4th quarter
-
does anyone have a score update on this game?
-
Christian Michael (RB) and Albert Williams(RB) both had over 1300 yards for West Brook this season. They will both be back next year.
-
WOW.......the sad part about that is the fact that Cy Falls was beatable last week against WB. That could...or should have been WB that beat Katy today. At least we can say that we got beat by a team that did'nt lose in the next round. I think Cy Falls can, and will, beat SA Macarthur next week and advance to their first state final appearance. Good Luck Golden Eagles. Congrats on knocking off Katy!

oh well.... i guess there's always somebody better. congratulations Bruins on a great season. there were alot of other teams that did alot worse. besides, this year's team was a young team with alot of varsity players returning next year. plus, this year's JV team was district champs! this definitely sets things up to have a solid team next year. so, poke your chests out and hold your heads high Bruins, you have nothing to be ashamed of......this was a great year! maybe a better year next season! gotta somehow figure out how to get through that third round :?

that'll work, too!
