82 5A State Champs

let me tell you about the injuries....since we're all here to talk...uhhh, smack talk the othere team. Man, last year PA played dirty....very physical and just plain ol aggressive and dirty. Our boys were in for a fight and they got one. PAM showed up to play and we matched them toe to toe. We just ended up losing several defensive players that were out for two weeks. We subsequently lost the next two games, I dont look for that to happen this year! ;D

geez man, I hope you're right.......I worry about these rivalry games, though. You can usually throw the records out the window 'cause anything can happen. I just hope we have more points at the end of the game than they do. Hopefully, our guys will have their heads on straight and will show up ready to play! Good luck Titans..................................I also hope we dont cone out of the game with a bunch of injuries again, like last year!

maybe just a couple.....we have a few others out with injuries. I think there were only like 45 on the original roster! Grades haven't really been an issue.

ALL of our receivers need to work on the proper way to catch the ball. We had way too many dropped balls Friday night! PASSING DRILLS!

were you at the Katy game two years ago? Believe me, our guys WERE intimidated........they were beat, mentally, before the first quarter was over. You could see it in their play on the field. I just hope we're able to get back on track this week for PAM. Are you guys having a pep-rally this week?

It will be nice to get some of those other guys back, though. I counted only 36 players on the sidelines Friday night that were in pads. 36! I felt that at the beginning of the season that depth would be one of our biggest weaknesses. The amount of players on the sidelines the last two weeks made me thing WB was a small 4A team instead of a 5A team. Those numbers are gonna have to increase in order to be competitive. Admit it, playing a team like Katy or some of the other Houston area schools with 80-90 players on the sidelines is a little bit impressive and can do something mentally to a team that we might be facing.

I did not get that information directly from her. I spoke to a teacher Friday night at the game that I knew and I asked her. She relayed that information to me. I still have not spoken to Coach Chip yet in order to ask him what his opinion is. When I do, you guys will be the first to know! ;D

the Rangers had 1 rushing yard and like 370 passing yards! Hey KG03bruins7, their secondary is very much improved from last year, but it's still nowhere near where it needs to be to make a deep playoff run. I mean come on, 370 yards passing from the worst team in our district! How can you not see that as a problem. I agree with you that we will blow this game wide open, AS LONG AS we shut down the passing game and force them to run the ball. I would love to see WB go all the way, but I am being realistic here.......I have yet to see them play well enough to beat a Katy or a Cy-Falls yet. I'm not saying they can't do it, I'm simply saying they haven't played four quarter football. And that's what it's gonna take to do it. ;D

well, your state runner-up is gonna come from the region3, probably the "lower" half. I don't see anybody beating the Dragons of SLC, who will most likely be the Div 2 State Champion.......AGAIN!

if I had to guess as to what teams WB might face in the playoffs.....I'd say South Houston, FB Clements, Cy Falls, and then Katy. The way WB played in the first half against Sterling, Id say we dont get past the first round! Our pass defense needs ALOT of work if we're gonna tangle with some of the top teams in the state. As far as the rankings go, well, it's nice to be ranked but I think it's nothing more than a distraction. It also tends to make the opposing team play that much harder to try and knock off a ranked team.

This one will be over in the first half as the Raider defense will shut down any scoring attackthat the Panthers will try. Raider nation will be hungry for vengance after a close loss to PN-G. L-Train gets back on track and will win this one steaming away from Ozen! ;D

If our pass defense doesn't improve dramatically this week, it could be a long game against the Titans. On paper, WB should win easily. But this is a rivalry game, and you can typically throw the records out the window. The edge would have to go to WB, as long as we take away their passing game and force them to run the ball. If we do that, then we'd be in good shape! MikeEast thinks the score will be 56-0 WB! I just hope we have more points than they do at the end of the game. Isn't that the point? ;D
