I hate to tell the good people of Carthage,TX that The Silsbee Tigers are coming to Lufkin to leave as Region Champions! If we beat Carthage, I hope they play El Campo in Houston at the Berry Center!

I think he means Carthgae has more state titles. They won 3 in a row from 08-10. Maybe Silabee csn beat them and keep the hope alive in getting one as well.

Silsbee must run outside the tackles like I said before. Get the ball in the hands of Kendrick Scott, Zayon Jackson, and Bryson on the rushing attack. Let Spearman get some up the middle carries and Reed back to outside. Only way we run the ball well vs them. It will be done! Also we need to have a awesome passing game. Get the ball in Holmes and Elams had as often as possible.

Why do the good people of East Texas talk about speed like SETX kids are slow. Do you guys at Carthage have a team full of Usain Bolts and Carl Lewis'? If you do I would be scared to play you guys. FYi Silsbee also has a DL going D1 and a few other D1 players.

[/quote] Carthage starts 10 juniors on offense.  All 3 of the WRs are juniors; one of them has more than 1,000 yards in receptions. One of the DTs is committed to A&M.  He will play in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl in San Antonio in January.  He is currently ranked 11th in the country at his position by Rivals.  Good luck! I don't think anyone said Carthage or Silsbee was going to lay down. I think people from East Texas think they own Texas High School Football. Carthage is big, fast, and very very talented. No one is taking that away. Silsbee has just as much speed on offense as it does defense. It is great time to be playing there best ball all season. I think this game could be a barn burner. I have faith in Coach McGallion and his staff that they will have Silsbee more than prepared. Go get BOYZ! (Fpr the old school Tiger fans) TTTTT IIIIIi GGGG ERS ERS!

1998 State Semifinals lost to La Marque 26-13. They beat WOS, Carthage, and El Campo on the way. There were some very good Tiger teams who only went one or two rounds deep.
