Not sure. I know Carthage's RB #25 is a bad man caring that ball. Seems like they have a very big OL and nice QB.

What amazes me is Silsbee has a kid on their OL that didn't look all that big (55 I think), but he is like a rock with steel rods in them on that line! He blocks very very well for his size!

That would be awesome but there is a lot of football left! Silsbee has some strong players in their secondary. I know coach Hickman will have his defense geared up for the challenge. I want to see Seth Adams bull rush and cause all kind of trouble for Carthage.

Kountze has a good team this year. Maybe Silsbee and Kountze will play a playoff warmup vs each other this year. You will then see who has the better team at full strength.

The one play where Silsbee had him dripped for a 6 yard lost and he reversed and ran about 45 yards was a great play by him. Good luck next year trying to stop this kid!

Cats80, this may be the closest group of kids I've seen in a while. Watching them during warm ups yesterday and even on the sideline, these kids really get after each other to make plays. Silsbee needs to button down the hatches on the passing game with Carthage. The mix up the run and the pass very well. Stafford was run heavy but only threw one incomplete pass out of the 10 they threw. We need to defensive line to press their QB like never before and out DB's to make some big plays. On offense, I'd like to see Bryson, Scott, and Jackson get more carries outside the tackles. Silsbee's speed on the outside and Reed's passing game can lead us to victory. Hold on to the ball and force some turnovers is the key! Teams who have a decent offense have been able to put up points on Carthage. I'm not sure anyone outside of Whitehouse and Jacksonville they have played who had a great defense. Silsbee might be the best defense they have faced.

Silsbee has just as much speed as Carthage. Trust me buddy

Carthage has about 5 full games from this season on YouTube if yal wanna check out. I watched the game they played vs Jasper. Jasper put up some strong points but their defense couldn't stop Carthage at all.

Anymore updates!

I saw some highlights of Carthage and they are very good. Big and fast! If Silsbee can play sound defense and not turn the ball over, they will beat Carthage. We may need Reed and Holmes to become Montana and Rice, but nothing is impossible! Go Tigers!
