When is the last time HJ missed the basketball playoffs? 1998 maybe? 15 years ago?

I know to be an elite program you must have won a state title or two. Out of all of the schools in SETX who haven't won a state title, who would you consider to be the "best" of the best of the rest program.

Newton fan, you have a great team this year. I think you would be played a closer game if it were a regular season game. I think the score would be 35 to 33 Newton.

Didn't this senior group from silsbee beat Newton in a real game last time they played. This is pointless. I look for shorter to become 2a player of the year. I predict silsbee will go 4 rounds deep.

Anyone from silsbee see the game? Sounds like Newton is #1 for a reason. Silsbee still got some work to do before week zero.

I agree! They have a very good program. I expect BC to find a solid replacement at RB as well. They are always in the mix when it comes to playoff teams.

I can recalll SEVERAL HJ players who were close or at 20yrs old still playing basketball and going to state!!!

AAU is a allstar team full of talent. I actually could see a 14U team full of mostly 14yr old players competing in our district. Not sure if they win. Some of those 14yr olds are BIG!!!

HF has a big kid that plays QB. Has anyone seen improvements in his game. If develops his arm, he can be very solid. Also, I think OF could give a few teams a scare this year. That darn option is hard to stop at times. They scared the crap out of Silsbee a few years ago.

how can a coach help HJ become a plAyoffs team from a doormate team in one year. I can say last years silsbee 13 point victory will be doubled or more this year. Coaching cant compete when the other team has you out skilled by leaps and bounds at all of the skill positions. With the exception of losing garica, Holmes, and a few others, silsbee is reloading with a even better team.

Seriously, I think Silsbee will go to the same round as last year. Third and home. Yates will dominate 3A Region 3 again this year.

Im one of the biggest Silsbee fans you will find. Twice last year I picked against us as a result of being in a pool. My heart is ALWAYS Silsbee but last year Silsbee vs Yates (Picked Yates by 8) last year Silsbee vs Carthage (I picked Carthage by 3). We lost both. I do love wine, cheese, and I prefer Ciroc over Hendawg!!!
