Semifinal Rematch Discussion - PNG vs. Liberty Hill
FrodoNDN replied to Rez's topic in High School Football
I think Noah would have made a difference for sure. The Kid can play. That is why this year I believe it is going to be tougher to stop you guys. I do believe we will move the ball on ya'll but Those two running backs for ya'll make yards on their own a lot. I for one am not looking past you guys. Ya'll remind me a lot of PNG. We haven't always had the size we have this year, but play with extreme heart. And we have surprized many a team that was bigger. Good luck and I hope it is a clean injury-free game -

That side was where all the penalties kept popping up for that drive. -

I'm with you. The top two running backs are healthy and tough to bring down. Noah Long can and probably will hurt us. I think we will have to get used to the slot T early on but eventually will. Discipline is key on D. It'll be the toughest running game we've faced I believe. I wasn't impressed with Pieper QB as far as his throwing. I think he was hurt in that game. So was the primary receiver because he had a cast on his hand. The kid still produced good catches though. Bailey could have a good night if they are able to slow down the run. -

Yeah, the second half was not good for the linemen. The Huntsville D line had something to do with that for sure. Big guys. -

Noah Long is a force to stop. With him healthy it is going to be a tough task for us. Did he play against Rouse? -

Some may have us looking beyond but it's one game at a time and the coaches know that. Watched the Pieper game and #21 is gonna be hard to stop. Slot T is always troublesome -

Very much this. Watching it live on TV is a game changer. It affects both side though to. LH people will stay home and watch to not have to drive. We'll still bring enough to create havoc -

Pieper not that impressive as I thought after watching. They pretty much pass every down which led to a lot of 3rd and long. Also allowed Liberty Hill on the field a lot in the first half. LH did what they did as usual. LH defense does not look like what we've faced. If we figure out the T early could be a repeat of last year. Let's hope. -

The 45 + yards in penalties drive for Huntsville gave them some MOJO. The inference call that started it all looked like a clean play that would have shut them down. But hey, gotta keep playing. -

The coaches are definitely legit stratigist for sure. Very happy with how things have been going here at PNG. Been saying forever D wins championships. Although we haven't won it all, it sure is nice to get the chance. I ain't griping!

Yeah, with the end diving down and catching the running back from behind, we didn't adjust well with that. I have seen teams learn for SOC against us and try that this year, the QB option does well against that. Shea does it well, I wonder if Conner can run it?

I like what he has been doing on offense. We are facing better defenses as we progress into the playoffs. Plus, we had some bad turnovers in that second half that hurt us
