  1. Vidor never did quit in this game and it was a pretty clean game on both sides. I thought the refs made some bad calls BOTH ways. I really thought Vidor had a safety on us in the first half. But, this was after we had been awarded a fumble and then had it taken away from us and I think on that play they did not even count the down. It was a very strange play in my opinion. Was it just me or should it have been 3rd down and the ball about 5 more yards forward if it wasn't truly a fumble??

Vidor, you guys have some solid running backs that I wish we had on our team. You also have a speedy WR if y'all could get him the ball. If the coach would open it up a little, I think y'all can be dangerous and shock some teams. The double handoff trap play was your best play.

I am shocked that we had 460 yards. It did not seem like that many to me. I thought we should have had 2 more scores though, but a win is a win. Good luck to Vidor. I think they will win some ballgames this season, especially at home. Just glad we got them early before they make some offensive adjustments.

  2. I don't care for ours(Nederland) all that much. When he does scores at halftime, many times he will say the team that is losing first. That is a huge pet peeve of mine for some reason. My favorite thru the years has been the guy from LC-M even though he is a little biased and I think announcers on the PA should be. I know Bill Dixon personally, but I have never heard him announce a game, but I bet he is great as well. Tip Durham at PN-G is very unbiased and monotone, but you can't help but like him.

  3. :o   Well from what I've read on alot of different post,  it sounds like a shocker victory would be PNG over Ozen.  I dont see alot of folks giving any credit to PNG, but I can see why.  Going 1-3 so far, with their only victory being  over Silsbee.  With the spread not working very well in the first 2 games, but going back to the smashmouth football PNG is known for, (Passing game is better than most think it is) maybe with a major shocker PNG might be given just a smidge of respect and credit.  I know alot of the players on this years team.  They dont care about rankings, credit or respect,  all these guys want to do is play ball and leave it all on the field and know they played as hard as they possibly could.  What more could a fan, parent or coach want to see.

I predict a shocker with PNG winning in a close one over Ozen.

As much as you may want to embrace the role of the underdog in this matchup, I do not see PN-G as the underdog at all. Y'all are playing a team that has the same 1-2 record as you guys do and finished 1-9 last season. If you think you are the underdog in this game, I guess you will be the underdog EVERY week.

  4. prolly low score neither team has a good qb

    14 - 10 nederland

Actually, Nederland has a very good QB. The problem is that he is a young soph who is learning on the job. We'll have to archive this statement so you can look at it next year and the year after when he is tearing things up! I think he is already pretty good and will only get better the remainder of the season. From what I remember, Vidor's QB wasn't all that bad last season either. Vidor always gets up for Nederland. I'll take the Dogs, but not by as many as most are predicting. 5-10 point game in my opinion.

  5. NEDERLAND

BRAD SULLIVAN ( BEST SCRAMBLING QB & PUNTER)

TROY SUMMERAL( HE STARTED THE RUN IN 96)REMEMBER AGAINST SWEENEY!

SEAN YODER ( ALL AROUND TALENT)

SHANE WILSON (A MONSTER AT LB IN THE LATE 80'S)

DUSTIN DRISKELL (A HOSS FOR A LITTLE GUY )

    RYAN BUTLER ( A MR.DO EVERYTHING)

ERIC CAMMACK (A GO TO GUY)

    DUSTIN HOOD ( ACCURATE PASSER)

MICHEAL BOYD ( ANOTHER TOP NOTCH LB)

MICAH MOSLEY ( CAN NOT BE LEFT OFF THIS LIST! A JOY TO WATCH)

    MANY MORE TO LIST SORRY!!

Is there a reason that all the Nederland lists are leaving off Jake Askew? When I think of great Nederland WR'S, I always think of him in the top 3.

  6. What if after the midnight bells ring and Prince Charming is making his rounds, and the glass slipper actually fits the Lumberton shoe?  What are you all going to say then.  I will be attending the game with cautious optimism.  I hope the Raiders win, but would not be surprised if it got ugly either.

I would say "Congrats Raiders on proving most people wrong and living up to the hype of a FEW of your many fans."

  7. So, what you are saying is.... Lumberton's opponents if you take out their game vs. the RAIDERS have been outscored by these margins...

New Caney has been outscored 127-21 in 2 games

Bridge City has been outscored 74-31 in 2 games

Cleveland has been outscored 101-20 in 3 games

For a grand total of 302-72. These three teams are making everyone look like state champs.

  8. lol i meant thats the least amount of rushing yards we will have....wait how many yards did yall have last year against us...ohh yeah like what 140....ok enough said

Actually, Micah had over 160 yards by himself against y'all and missed nearly a quarter in that game with a leg injury. Remember y'all "shut him down."  ??? I always thought running for over 160 was a pretty good game for a back. Difference this season is that our D is much improved and there won't be a "2 minute miracle" at the end of the game.
