LeBlanc would be a better choice than Brooks for the girls job. She has played college basketball at LSU and is from Port Arthur. To my knowledge Brooks has never coached girls before.

I'm hearing Coleman

It is a 2A school. At a 2A school the athletic director should be the head football coach unless the school does not have football.

Good luck WO-S. I don't think it would be going out on a limb to say they should win that pool.

Who is the football coach there? Is he keeping his job?

Legacy is going to get bigger with the way Coach Hobbs is recruiting

Anything?

well with all the budget uncertainty with Texas public schools I bet Long was waiting to make sure the hiring would be official. No reason for him to jump ship and then not have the job he is leaving for work out because of budget reasons. Keep that in mind before bashing him.

Dan Ray Hooks is available

Congratulations to the winners! Thanks for the updates

At least he didn't sleep with LeBron's mom like Delonte West

Why would they even consider a 3A assistant with no head coaching experience at a 5A high school?

I heard their best baseball player didn't even play baseball last year

Knowles?

This article is offensive and narrowminded. I'm not saying that because I am a disallusioned fan. I am not even a huge Lamar fan but I support them as long as they are not playing my school. At least its not a rewritten press release from the athletics website like most of his articles seem to be

Why would they want a coach who got fired from Central?

Steve Roccaforte. Port Arthur native. Needs a job. Give it to him

he will be a district administrator and possibly a city councilman next year from what i've heard

Ancelot is the best hs girls basketball coach in the area when she was coaching. if that isn't great i don't know what is.

It is the right decision. She has not been producing since she had those good players that went D1. What I don't understand is how WO-S is deciding to arbitrarily get rid of some coaches who have not been producing yet keeping others. I am not going to name names or sports but there is a coach who has not gotten past 2nd round in his sport and missed playoffs two years in a row yet he keeps his job because he is good buddies with the new AD.

Coaching boys and girls is different. Anyone with kids of opposite genders knows that. Nice ol Gary Blair at A&M would not be treated with the same respect by the men's team there. It makes you wonder if the AD there really cares about boys basketball when he hires someone like that.

Who do you think should be the starting WB QB if not Stump?

congrats to the gentleman and the lady

Coach Hooks tolerated the underperforming coaches. Coach T obviously doesn't.
