We moved to BH two years ago from PNG. My kids to this day want to move back. They told us that they would rather graduate from PNG than BH. They started in Kindergarten at PNG and we lived there for a long time. It's hard to get the purple blood out of your system. lol Alot of it is a close knit community between Port Neches and Groves. The majority of kids and parents are close friends, they buy into the traditions already in place with new ones being made every year. My kids learned "Cherokee" in kindergarten. They send players, cheerleaders, Indian Spirit to the elementary schools for pep ralleys. The schools play a huge part as well because they push the spirit from high school to elementary. Those kids are counting down the days that they will be able to play for the high school whether football, baseball, basketball, Indianettes, etc.. There is no school district that comes close to the spirit of PNG. I have people in Barbers Hill that tell me they can't stand when Cherokee is played, but they think it's neat to watch the Indian Spirit dance and all of the traditions of PNG. That says alot when other schools admire your spirit and traditions, although they wouldn't admit it on here. lol :D

Right, so easy first round. WB and Central had the Aldine schools in Aldine ISD prime to go through and Memorial has had the comfort of the 4 schools go to the playoffs as well. :)

I know of 1991 season we beat the brakes off of PA Lincoln and beat TJ 49-0. WB dominated them boys. I'll never forget the TJ tightend saying that they sucked and told me "we're running a sweep on your side" I was laughing so hard when they really did run a sweep my way. Them guys use to give up in the first quarter. Beaumont Domination. Just adding a little fuel. WB owned PA back in the day. :D

People love when BH isn't dominating in baseball. It's a down year and I think most knew it would be like that this year. They will still make the playoffs and hopefully get on a roll and go a couple of rounds. I don't see them getting past a couple of rounds. People amaze me on here.

That's interesting because my BH son is playing with 4 Crosby kids in select ball right now. I've met 8-10 kids from Crosby playing select ball and they are going to HS next year or the year after. Crosby kids are out playing at a high level of travel ball just like the BH kids. Most BH kids don't play Little league or Pony League, slect is where the overwhelming majority of kids at BH play. Crosby will have some good teams in the next couple of years, so will BH, and Dayton. All three have some talented kids in the 12-14 year old age groups.

I'm kidding around. Calm down. I think Dayton has a better baseball team this year. I'm starting to think Dayton folks live through Dayton sports. :D

BISD has been screwed up for a long time people. It was screwed up when Jerry Mallet was in charge. There has always been in house fighting. It's just getting more public now that people are getting caught with their hand in the cookie jar. Don't think for a minute there wasn't hands in the cookie jar during the Mallet years by people in the district. Don't forget about the merger of school districts, picking ping pong balls, issues when Hebert, South Park, and Forest Park combined. This school district has always had racial divisions and continues today the same way. It has never changed. Period. BISD graduate of 1992. Been there, seen it, and gave the t-shirt away. lol

Silsbee don't shy away for sure. I like that. Some of the other schools......... another story. lol
