Thats why we went 10-0 that year  ;D
but bh missed the playoffs the very next year in the same district.
I think that was the last year 4a took 3 teams. BH was in 4th and probably would've went 3 or 4 rounds deep in the playoffs. That's why the UIL changed it to 4 teams because they seen that the Eagles should've been in the playoffs that year. ;) ;D

Sc with there qb and two receivers back and that transfer running back. And Crosby with the twins and that tight end coming back. If they find a defense they would be serious contenders in D2.
Why do you think D2 is so much easier?  To me it's all the same.
In my opinion there are a lot more tougher teams in D1 than in D2. At least it was that way last year. I'm not saying that all teams in D2 are push overs. I'm just saying D1 has a lot more powerhouse teams. IMO that is.
I agree, the reason D2 is easier is because of the enrollment. Georgetown won 3 or 4 games in 5a before realignment. The powerhouse teams like Dawson, Georgetown, Summer Creek, and 4a state champ Denton Guyer all have enrollments around 2000 or above. All things being equal an extra 5-600 kids makes a big difference. Division 2 teams are usually within a couple hundred kids of each other which makes for less disparity between the teams.
Then how do you explain some small schools consistently beating bigger schools or even schools from a lager classification?  BTW, I wouldn't consider Georgetown and SC powerhouses yet.  Nothing against them, but SC has one playoff win and Georgetown had one good year.  Dawson is proven, but that's about it.  Even they lose to a few smaller schools.
Which smaller schools are you talking about??
Brenham, LaMarque, Navasota, Stephenville & Dayton.  Those schools have under 1,500 students and have consistently beat schools with a 2000+ enrollment.
Busting your bubble on this one ;D Brenham- enrollment 1424 2008-current playoff games Wins Manor (twice)- 1658 Crosby- 1440 El Campo- 975 (currently 3a) Kerrville Tivy- 1381 Dayton- 1443 PNG- 1431 KP- 1665 Losses Dayton Aledo- 1544 KP Ozen- 1264 Elgin- 1199 Where did ya'll beat a school with over 2000 students in the playoffs, which I think is what people are talking about, not non district games? ;D  Also, please name the schools that the schools you listed have beat with 2000+ students. I would venture to say no more then a couple for Brenham, LM, Navasota maybe none, Dayton maybe a few, and Stephenville maybe one or two. That's all years, non district, district, and playoffs.
:o ;D
;D I like BrenhamFan too, hope I didn't upset him. Seriously, probably only LM when they were 4a beat teams with 2000+ students consistanly. I didn't feel like looking all of them up. ;D Much love to ya Brenham 8)

Does the homeschool kids count towards enrollment even though they don't attend that "school"?
I would think (more like hope) that the UIL would not "punish" the school in this scenerio by moving them to a small 5A. I know when you have students enrolled at alternative school, those students count toward your UIL attendance numbers. It would be very difficult to include Homeschooled students in that count.
I would think that homeschooled kids will benefit schools for baseball, basketball, Track, and maybe soccer since these are sports that kids can play outside of school at a high level. I don't know if football wise you will see a big difference. I may be wrong though.

 14. Thee question should be, how many more rounds will BH go this year than PAM. Went further last year! ;D
 15. Roe vs Hallen, both threw complete games. BH scored in 7th inning to win 1-0. Some great games recently across SE TX.

 19.
A. Lew is through with coaching.  He retired when his son went to LU.  When A Lew was @Ozen, he was a big O-fer against MC and was putting out 6-9 D-1 athletes.  He didn't believe and defense and his record shows.  Best coach Ozen had was Brooks period, end of discussion..... I hope they get someone that doesn't run the spread but I'm afraid they won't....
Who was the first coach? I thought it was Lewis. I don't think any of the coaches have had a winning record against MC, but I may be wrong.
 20. Ozen has been open for I think 9 years now. They've had 3 different coaches in that short time. IMO, they should've kept coach Lewis, but I don't know wht the issue was for him to be reassigned. Ozen has only one 8 win season, which was under Lewis. 39-61 during the time Ozen has been in existance doesn't bode well for the program. Hopefully whoever they get can get the program tured around.

BH pays the better half alot more money. ;D We were living in PNG for two years when they played for the state title, so BH get ready in a year or two to be in the big game!! ;D
