  1. I simply said I had been involved in  one of those exact situations lately and that a team did, in fact, win back to back games.  No inference was made, by any stretch of the imagination, that this was the "rule" or the "exception to the rule".

But on a side-note.  Condition-wise, they may be able to play two games in 24 hours, but what if the Friday night game is a double overtime nail-biter?  How will the winner of that game be able to get up for a Saturday afternoon game? [/quote] I have recent personal experience/exposure to this situation and I can tell you that the team that won it all won 2 games back to back.

No such thing winning outright anymore :( [/quote] You are so right, Dove.  Those same principles, when applied to operating our country, are equally counter productive and produce no self reliance, laziness, and "I am a victim" syndrome not to mention our eventual bankruptcy if not corrected.  You can't let the team that has not won a single game go to the playoffs in order to protect its "self esteem" or to be "fair".
