I agree. In fact even when it looked like we might go up 31-7 I still never felt like we owned the game. Far from it. We had a few plays go our way such as the punt picked up and returned. These 2 teams matched up very well. Orangefield will be more than ok the rest of the season. It was a great game.

Both teams I thought we pretty equal, Kirbyville just made a couple more plays and took advantage on a punt that Orangefield didn't down that was picked up and ran back for a touchdown. Heads up play by the Kirbyville player. Kirbyville has some big ol boys and a ton of talent, they'll be a handful down the road. Proud of my Bobcats, we're really scrappy and we'll be better for playing this game. Our defense played better tonight limiting a pretty good Kirbyville offense to 15 points. We're gonna be ok.

I actually picked BC to win this game in the pick em contest, might have been the only one. I've always said if BC got a coach that ran this type of offense watch out and well watch out. I really expect them to compete with the top teams in their district and wouldn't be surprised if they don't upset a few along the way. I have a ton of respect for Coach Dubois and what he does and stands for.

Thanks for all the prayers that was sent up for my son Ty Dennis .. He is doing well now it was a scary moment he was unresponsive for about 45min that's was the worst moment a parent could ever go thru .. But wit all the prayers he just came out wit a concussion an wut they call a spin stinger. There is no time on his return r if he will .. Thanks for all the prayers an concerns for my son

Orangefield beat Newton last year, but playing them in Newton this year will be tough. I believe the Eagles over looked us last year a little bit and we shocked them and I believe we had a lot to do with their success last year. We kinda woke them up, so you're welcome Eagles, please remember that this year lol.

Thanks for the vote of confidence Skipper, we really appreciate the support. But it's going to pretty much take a perfect game for us to get out of Katy with a win. I believe we have a chance if we can get a few stops and control the line of scrimmage on offense. We have to eat some clock with long scoring drives and keep their offense off the field. On offense they're loaded, and have a couple of guys that can take it to the house on any play. I expect us to play well, just hope we can force a few turnovers and catch a break here or there or maybe even a miracle!!!

Not trying to argue with you HJ2012 because HJ won the game plain and simple, but I'll disagree with you on on a few things. Yes the play where HJ fumbled at the 1 was big, but just as big was the muffed punt early in the game by my Cats. I think the timing of our mistakes really hurt us more than the mistakes made by HJ. We gave y'all a short field and like good teams y'all took advantage. Another special teams goof was the punt return for a touch down, flag or no flag it was a score, but if that flag stands and is not waved off,you again have another momemtum shift which turned out good for y'all, and bad for us. I thought my Cats outplayed the Hawks in the first half, and I believe we out gained them as well. So a short field (inside our 20 I believe) and a punt return was really all the Hawks had to show for in the first half.
 
Another big mistake was the 2nd muffed punt, that was a huge momemtum swing and again gave y'all a short field. We had actually stopped the hawks on downs the first drive of the 2nd half then we forced y'all to punt and the above happened. Good teams take advantage and that was the case again as y'all scored to go up 20-14. I believe that was the score heading into the 4th and then y'all put an impressive drive together over 70 yards I believe to go up 28-14 with probably 6 minutes or so left in the game. I posted on this board about that time saying the game was closer than the scored indicated, and a few HJ posters agreed with me.
 
Then all the craziness started. First play we throw a pick trying to score quickly and again y'all took advantage to go up 35-14. But you still can't tell me that at that point you honestly believe y'all just blew the doors off of us. You know the rest of the story and we actually didn't lose that game, we just ran out of time ;)

I don't really know Coach, but completely respect him for what he's done and stands for as a leader and mentor of young men. Him and Coach Smalley are friends and both lead their teams in the correct manor giving God all the glory. So refreshing to see these days!!! And as someone posted earlier, when it's all said and done, these two teams will pray together on the field as one. That's pretty awesome right there.
 
I hope my Cats can find a way to pull this one out, but that's going to be easier said than done!!!
