I think Zjori Bosha sounds like a good player for a freshman but I don't know if he is the best
I heard PAM has some good players & Silsbee has a kid named Patrick that seems to have some talent

can you imagine the grief AAW would've given a fan from any other school if they'd made the statements he made on here? :)
Yeah Kinda like the grief your given him ::)
He told us that he tought the refs made some bad calls but he also said that he felt Ozen would have won either way since Silsbee had 30 turnovers last night

it's been my experience that when a team turns the ball over, they end up back on their heels pretty often, and this can lead to a foul to stop a break or to breakup an easy layup. so, it seems to me that if a team turned the ball over THIRTY times, that might have a lot to do with the foul discrepency.
From what I heard it did sound like Silsbee got a little discouraged about turning the ball over and probably made some unnecessary fouls in the 4th -
Oh well…. Let’s brush it off and maybe we’ll get another shoot before the end of the season maybe @ the Montagne Center ;)
-
Silsbee will have all starters ready to go for this tournament with Gaines back in the line-up so I might have to go watch this tournament
The only bad thing is that Silsbee will still be without a very very good back-up transfer from Kountze Holmes as he has contributed a lot in the first 3 games of the season with averaging around 10 points
But the tigers should have him back before the show down with HJ
-
Silsbee without a doubt had plenty of opportunities last night even without Gaines & Holmes
But Ozen took advantage of the Tigers mistakes and came away with the win
I dont think Silsbee could have won last night with 30 turnovers so I dont see why we are talkin about the refs
Silsbee just didn't hold on to the ball and did not have a full roster last night end of story
I hope we can get a rematch before the play-offs
congrats to Ozen on the win -

Probably be a much better fit with that freshmen group from Silsbee. ;) ;D
With those 2 added to the Silsbee freshman squad that would be a state championship team for sure ;)
I don't think HF can win state with 2 good players & a bunch of HF regulars :D :D :D -
Silsbee won it last year
And I don't really know of anbody that will get in the way of them taking it home again
Dayton ???
New Waverly ???
-
All I know is that HJ needs the win cause I can't remember the last time they lost 3 straight games
-
What kind of size does Ozen have this year?
I'm not sure I would like to see the roster myself -
Class 3A TABC
1. Lubbock Estacado
2. Cleveland
3. Dallas Madison
4. West Oso
5. Hardin-Jefferson
6. Burkburnett
7. Kennedale
8. Argyle
9. Silsbee
10. Lindale
::) ::) ::) WOW!!! what a joke ::) ::) ::)
Cleveland has not made it to the Area Play-offs since I don’t know when
But they still manage to have them higher than anybody else in this area every year
HJ is good but maybe not top 5 good at least not right now with the injuries and back to back losses
And you put Silsbee @ #9 with Stalworth, Gaines, Lane, Harris & the Barret twins all returning from the team that went to state last year ??? enough said
-
This will be the game of the night!!
Both undefeated teams battling it out with some of the best players in the Area
With Ozen being @ home & Silsbee being without Gaines the starting PG
Ozen - 72
Silsbee - 68

Yes HJ was the better team for 30 minutes in the JV game. They should have won in regulation. But anything can happen and they let their foot off the petal for just a secon and it was enough for Big Ned. The varsity game was played hard by both teams Ned just had to much depth for HJ. The press just wasn't forcing the turnovers it needs too for HJ to win. I think they will have much better luck with 3A opponents who won't have as much depth.

I can name a 3A team that has depth and I can also name a 3A team that would give Nederland a run for their money ;D -
Silsbee Wins!
All I can say is for anybody that plays Woodville don’t sleep on #5 or he will make you pay
He put up about 30 points last night in which 35% where in free throws
#5 for Woodville is there point producer so if you shut him down then you got a chance to beat them
Silsbee overall did ok I have seen better games for them
I still think they will improve when Gaines returns but the only problem is that Silsbee has to play Kountze & Ozen without him in the line-up
Last night I think there where about 4 players for Silsbee that had about 10 or more points & about 3 or 4 with 5 points So that’s good that Silsbee has multiple people that can score
I think Lane lead the Tigers in boards which I am glad to see him get back in basketball mode
Good Win Tigers!

Woodville (1-0) vs. Silsbee (2-0)
Tonight @ Tiger Gym
Woodville is coming off of a win last night against Buna and looking to get another one
Silsbee starts the season undefeated even without starting PG Gaines
So can Woodville tame the Tigers our will Silsbee devour the Eagles?

I am not a basketball "guru" and really have no "hidden agenda"...well maybe I do... but I have a question that needs a plausible answer...I am perplexed! If a Varsity Coach has a few great players on Freshman, JV, and Varsity and your Varsity is not winning, why would a coach not pull from each of those disciplines to make THE STRONGEST team of the three? Why would it be okay to be MOSTLY concerned about the lower disciplines staying strong while your Varsity has the weakest record. Does that REALLY make sense? Help me professionals! ???
This year from my understanding Silsbee has 1 or 2 guys on the freshman team that could play on Varsity and the reason I got from coaches on why they are staying on the freshman squad is because they don’t want to break up the chemistry of that class apart
That might apply in your situation
The coach might want to keep a group of players together and have them develop together instead of breaking them apart
Some teams have down years and you just get thru that and move on to the next
-
Tigers by 12
Kountze is good but I don’t think they have a bench like Silsbee
The thing about Silsbee is that a team can try to wear down their starting 5 and just when you think you got them running out of steam Coach T can empty the bench and have 5 new players on the court with speed & skill
With Silsbee’s new addition of Barclay, Holmes & Rhone it will be hard to run the court against them
With that said I still think Silsbee will struggle a little without Gaines in @ PG & Height might become an issue if they can’t execute from the outside
-
Good win for Silsbee
-
Stalworth might not be the best player in Texas maybe not even in the top 50
But he could sure be in the starting lineup for any team in the Texas 5A-1A

Oh Okay.... Now that I got all your attention I can admit that the hardest game you ever play is the next one you face and your biggest enemy is always yourself. Truth of the matter is I am from Huffman and I believe they have a winners Heart having said that coldsprings will be an uphill battle for Huffman and I never underestimate Silsbee or any other team that is in the Playoffs. Truth is What I have learned is High school football is at its most purest form as most players will never pick up a football again after high school and they play for the love of the game
I stay with my perdition that Huffman will beat Silsbee but will have a second or third round exit I do believe that with this team anything is possible.....
HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL ROCKS
Go Huffman
Hold on just a minute. You didn't just pick Huffman to beat Silsbee, you picked them to win by 40 points.
Are you gonna make the bet or are you going to crawfish like I expect you to?
Huffman did win the game but with the Huffman defense vs. Silsbee offense
Huffman never had a chance to beat Silsbee by 40 points much less 20
Seems like somebody was smart and chickened out on a bet at the last minute or Aggie would’ve had him some spending money :D

I really dont think silsbee showed they had more muscle than BC. We will see next time in a neutral location who has more muscle!
I am not sure what game you watched, but that's exactly what Silsbee did. If these teams played ten times, BC would win six of them. This was just Silsbee's night to rock some world. It is what it is. :-*
WOW!!! ::) ::) ::)
Who lied to you?
Silsbee has beaten Bridge City the last 2 times they played each other
Silsbee also killed Bridge City 3-0 this last game so I don’t see how Bridge City would be favored in a 10 game match
Maybe if these so called 10 games were played in the beginning of the season the Cardinals would have had a chance but now I would have to say that the Tigers would be favored since they look to be the better team
*DAYTON vs. SILSBEE BROADCAST/SILSBEE WINS 95-60!!!
